A unique restaurant where you order at the counter. The food was delicious and the portions ample. Dining on the waterfront is always fun. Great atmosphere!

The atmosphere here is fantastic—you can sit right by the water with a view of boats and yachts, which definitely adds to the experience. However, the food itself was just okay. We had the shrimp platter and shrimp tacos, and while they weren’t bad, they weren’t anything special either. At $50 (including a $5 tip), the price felt a bit steep for what we got—definitely island pricing. Also, they put the umbrellas up **2.5 hours before closing**, right when the sun was hitting us directly. When we asked about it, we were told it was because they were “about to close”… in two and a half hours? That seemed a little silly. Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily come back for the food, but maybe for some drinks and the waterfront vibe.

Its an excellent lunch space. Kinda wedged in between a couple of restaurants at the dock. It is cool they have dog food options too. Mahi was good. Fries were huge and fresh.

One of our go-to places everytime we come to the Island. Looking forward to our lunch there today and the usually very good fries were oily and the margaritas needed some help. Everything else was very good. We will be back, but am glad we didn't bring friends this time.

I've eaten here in the past a a few years ago and everything was delicious. My son was visiting from out of town and we decided to get a blackened mahi fish sandwich with the lovely fries. Sadly the fish sandwich was really dry and on the dry bread just really didn't taste that great not what I remembered. I also had their ceviche and it was good but there were a few bites that were ultrafishy tasting I've never had that experience at another place that I usually get my ceviche from on Port Isabel though. Made me feel like I should have went to my original spot. The staff here is great though and the sunset on the Bayside with the fishing boats is lovely as well. I asked them if the lemonade was homemade and she said they make it in house but it taste like a mix not fresh made homemade lemon juice which makes a difference for me I wouldn't have ordered it I would have gotten iced tea or something else as long as that was actually brewed in house and not some powder mix either. Anyway hopefully this was a one-off.

Stopped for lunch yesterday, were so Disappointed! We have at there numerous time in the previous years . We order the 8/mile burgers with fries . The burger were very small, dry, absolutely no flavor, no cheese , slimy stringy onion. And the fries were soaked in grease . We couldn’t even eat them . We found out that the place was sold in May and now has new owners . My husband mention to the girl at the counter that quality of the food wasn’t what we were used to, in the past, and if the new owners didn’t step it up they were going to ruin the great business that was created by the previous owners . I know we wouldn’t be going back anytime soon .

Greetings, We arrived to order at the counter. The young lady, when asked if We can have the mahi sandwich alacart, was condescending when stating, "we don't do that." On the other hand, the server was very professional and attentive. As they say, first impressions are lasting. Undecided if we will return. Thank you

I have been to Mahi Nics many times over the years and have mostly ordered Mahi sandwich with fries and it was always delicious except for my last visit a few weeks ago and the fish was very dry and the fries were soggy and limp unlike all my previous visits. Very disappointing. Previous to my last visit I would have given the food 4-5 stars but my last visit was a zero. My wife ordered the same and she agrees 100%.
