Just got their pasta sampler lunch special and a side salad to-go. Delicious food. ? And the salad was nice and fresh! Their marinara is *chef’s kiss* so good! Only thing missing that I noticed when I got home was the bread, which made me sad since I was looking forward to trying it and I love bread. Oh well. Service was great, too! Food was ready in a very timely manner and the girl helping me was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Food is priced reasonably, as well. Will definitely be coming back!Update: My husband and I went the other day for dinner (dine-in) and everything was delicious!! From the salads to the soups to the entrees.. and I got to try the bread this time; it’s to DIE for. It’s so tempting now to get takeout here all the time since we live so close, haha.
The service was lovely and the restaurant was clean, but the food was the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. I suddenly understand why people love Olive Garden so much. It’s hands down 100% better than this place. I’ve had better Italian out of the freezer section at Walmart. The bread was tough, the oil was just the worst, the salad had wonderfully fresh produce, but consisted of half croutons and was swimming in so much dressing I almost confused it for soup. And the pasta. Oh man the pasta. “Sautéed” chicken really meant poached practically to sawdust. Noodles were over cooked. And it was my second near soup of the night in an uncooked watery wine sauce with canned artichokes that were tough nearly beyond edibility. It’s a shame really. They were very nice and accommodating, there was just no saving any of the meal. Only way to save the place would be to scrap of the recipes and start from scratch. Maybe hire a new chef.
We found this little quaint restaurant by accident and it has been a joy to eat there since we moved to Bulverde. The service and food is "TOP OF THE LINE"
My son and I came across this place a couple of months ago when they were in the middle of renovation and were disappointed we couldn't try the food. But we came here tonight with my other half for dinner. We weren't disappointed this time. The food easily made our top Italian restaurants list, not in San Antonio, but of all places we've eaten. I grew up in the New York/New Jersey area and have traveled extensively in the states and eaten Italian food a lot. My late Italian grandmother would have loved this food. My son has been to Italy and said it's as good as anything he ate over there. The bread is amazing and baked fresh, the clam sauce was delicious and had fresh chopped clams. My son loved his spaghetti and meatballs and my GF loved her eggplant parm. This is a family run restaurant and kudos for that. We will be back.If you like Italian food go here.
I was seriously hoping this was going to be outstanding. And the garlic knots and the Stromboli were really good. My pasta combo was like something I would throw together at home. My wife had the meatball sub which was a disappointment. The meatballs tasted like they were frozen meatballs from the store. And while there were only a few customers in the restaurant, the service left a LOT to be desired.I asked the server if they had any fresh coffee and her long pause to think about her answer told me all I needed to know. When she said yes they had fresh coffee, I hoped that meant she was going to make some. However, that was some of the oldest coffee I have drunk in a long time. Also, I couldn't count how many times she walked past our table to help other customers without checking on us. Lastly, the tiramisu was not very good. It had almost no flavor at all.My sister said that the lunch specials were really good. So, we will give them one more try for lunch and hope it's much better.
First visit to this location. Calamari was the most rubbery ever for me. Could not chew it! The inattentive waitress did not take my order right. The floor seemed to have been mopped with a dirty mop. I let the waitress know I was not happy with the calamari but nothing was done. I will not ever go back to that place!
Delicious Italian food in a romantic atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon!
Service was extremely slow, as they appeared to have staffing issues. One of the kitchen staff could be seen on his phone while we waited for food, then disappeared to the restroom for a long period of time. I watched my husband eat his food and then received mine when he was finished due to a “spill in the kitchen.” We would have written this off as an off night (as we’ve gotten togo multiple times) until my husband gasped at the wood wall behind me and a bug crawled behind the booth bench. As I turned to look, it crawled back behind the bench. At this point we were waiting for our check or we would have left. The bug that appeared to be a small roach (but I’m not an exterminator) then reappeared and crawled into the upper part of the wood wall behind me. There’s no way I’d ever set foot back in the restaurant. We actually agreed to never speak of this experience again, but I felt obligated to save another couple from such a disastrous decision.
Food is delicious and the portions are large. Thank you for accommodating our birthday group today. We had a group of 25 plus folks for a late lunch and birthday celebration. Service was great!! I will visit your restaurant again. Thank you gentlemen!!!
Good experience! Lasagna and pasta were good, also nice big portions (enough pasta to take home half!), fresh, piping hot fresh baked. Fast service. Will return!

Absolutely fantastic food! One of, if not, the best restaurants in Bulverde! Super fresh, flavorful, and delicious hearty portions with great service.
First time here. Tasty food and big portions. I just wish the house salad came with croutons lol
First time trying. Ordered takeout and it was great. Nice to have another option around and an Italian one at that. Definitely going to go back.
Wife and I decided to give this place another go, since we actually enjoyed ourselves the first time.First time we went I had the chicken Florentine (really good, just really heavy) and my wife had some sort of eggplant rolls. Both were really good.As of our latest visit, not so much.Firstly, the fountain drinks aren’t working so they pour the drinks from bottles that they have stashed away. I can live with this, as sometimes the drink fountains don’t get cleaned that often.Secondly, last time we visited the bread came with oil to dip it in. Another table was told that they aren’t doing that anymore, but not 15 minutes later - another table was having their bread delivered with it.Thirdly, I ordered the cheese ravioli and my wife ordered chicken piccata. The cheese ravioli is literally the same thing you get at H-E-B. I’m not making this up, I watched them cut the bag open and proceed to cook it. My wife couldn’t finish her chicken piccata because it was so salty.Needless to say, we did not enjoy our visit this time. And not sure we will go back. I’m extremely disappointed because the first time we went, it was so good and we had been telling all of our friends.
