Cabo Taco

This place is worth a stop. The street tacos were good but prolly the same you’d find anywhere. The nachos are way bigger than you think and certainly a family appetizer. The best thing we had were the Barria tacos. So good. Definitely go that way.

The tacos were great, and while we did find a hair in one, they replaced it quickly with no issue. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and everything else was top-notch. Prices were a bit high for just two tacos, but the quality made up for it. I do wish the birria sauce was less “salsa-y”. Overall, a great experience! ✔️🌮

My wife ordered queso & chips and nachos. They were out of queso, so we asked for guacamole. There wasn’t anyone waiting at the time she ordered and the cook told her it would be just a minute. We returned 30 min later (still no one in line) and they had just put the steak on the grill. When I asked to cancel the order the person became belligerent and told me he told my wife 35 min was the wait time (he did not). He refunded the meal and kept the tip. I’ve never been treated so poorly in an establishment where I was paying. Will not return.

These were terrible nachos. Cold and unflavorful. We got pork on them on it was cold - completely unheated. The only thing warm on these was the queso - and yes, that part was good on the few bites we took. My husband brought them back and asked if they could heat them up and the two teenagers working there said they didn’t have any sort of heater/oven to warm or melt anything. They have a stove top (which you’d think they’d heat up the meat on before dumping on nachos?!) and that’s it. They did say they have warm queso so they offered to dump that all over it to warm it up. Great conceptually, and maybe had we had a few more beers that would have really hit the spot, but it was unfortunately just too much. It was clever and nice of them, but just did not help. Bizarre there is no way to serve warm/heated nachos?! (When it literally says warm chips in description too.) kids didn’t know how to give a refund so wasted $18 on these and threw it all away after a few bites.

Food was pretty good. Chicken tacos were a little bit plain, but found out later I was supposed to get cilantro, onions and salsa on the side but it was never given. Would have made it a lot better.

Main complaint was the service. Two high school kids that were completely disinterested in talking to anyone. They had their headphones in the whole time, had to repeat our order multiple times. Explains the incomplete order. HS kids were borderline rude to people. Just a bad experience overall. Plenty of other options in District46 to deal with that again

We ordered beef tacos but didn’t taste anything like beef. These tacos are the worst and expensive for the quality. So disappointed about my order, I ended up throwing away my food three bites in. They should really replace them with an actual authentic taco food truck please save your money and don’t eat here.

Service: negative 100. I cannot speak about the food as my family was not able to try it. Not sure what the deal was but on 3/23 the shorter Spanish looking guy immediately said to me as I approached saying hi at 8p “I’m done for the night”. Ok, no big deal. Ordered from burger place instead then went around to explore. Went back to get/ eat our burgers and there he was serving others. So I asked him after the other customers had gone, if he was not done for the night? “Because you said you were done for the night or were you just done for me?” He said yes, I don’t have any meat then again proceeded to help other customers after I returned to my table.To the owner: I thought you might want to know that you have that sort of employee. We have never been there before so I’m certain there was no reason or rationale to explain his behavior. Everyone else in the other trucks and the bar were fantastic. The burger truck especially was good and staff were absolutely lovely!

10/10 recommend!!! Got the birria with steak instead of pork and it was wonderful. SUPER full tortillas, crispy outside, juicy, all the things. And the shrimp tacos… OMG. I’ve had shrimp tacos from coast to coast and these are easily up there in the top. And with the same crispy flavorful tortilla as the birria tacos. Large portions too so good value for the price.

First time having a birria taco, it was great! Matti did a wonderful job cooking and great service to all of us.Can’t think of better tacos in spring
