This was our first time visiting, and overall it was a pleasant experience 😊 The place had a nice vibe, and we were greeted right away by the hostess, which made us feel welcome from the start. Service was a bit slow during our visit, but it seemed like they might have been short-staffed that evening. I did have to get up twice to ask for drink refills đŸ„€, but everyone was polite about it.
The food definitely made up for the wait! The burgers were tasty, juicy, and cooked just right đŸ”đŸ”„ We also ordered an appetizer — I can’t remember the exact name, but it was something like a deep-fried popper — and it was really good and perfectly crispy. The bartender was especially accommodating and helpful, which we appreciated a lot 👏
Even with the slower service, we enjoyed ourselves and would absolutely give it another try. Looking forward to coming back! 😊

Fun Buns in Spring Branch is a must-stop. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and clearly made by people who know what they’re doing—none of that frozen, slapped-together nonsense. The fries are hot, crispy, and dangerously easy to finish.

And let’s talk about the boozy milkshakes
genius. Fun for the adults, indulgent, and perfectly over-the-top without being gimmicky.

Laid-back Hill Country vibes, great food, and something for everyone—plus they’re open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday, which makes it even better. We’ll absolutely be back.

I Visited this restaurant for the first time this week, and it did not disappoint. The owner, Jill, was extremely welcoming. The staff was very attentive, the atmosphere was really nice, and the food was extremely delicious! I ordered the cowboy burger and wow!! I don’t even like jam, but the habanero jam on this burger was incredible. My Friend ordered the PB and J hamburger, and she was also very impressed. Give this place a try if you haven’t already! It is worth it.

Stopped here with Bolt, a discerning consumer of food. He gives two paws and a hearty endorsement of their dog friendliness and attention to his needs! His only complaint is with his mean uber driver who did not let him eat the entire pup cup! His chauffeur uber driver volunteer found the hamburger delicious and the service from Giselle was exceptional! Definitely recommend!

I’ve ordered takeout from Fun Buns twice now, but haven’t dined in, so this review is based strictly on the food and takeout service. For the price, the food is okay, but it’s definitely not great.
The burgers and fries are okay, but nowhere near some of the better burgers I’ve had, especially considering the cost. One thing that stood out right away is that some of the photos on the takeout app don’t really match what you get in reality, which is a little disappointing.
The biggest issue for me is consistency. The burgers aren’t cooked evenly. I’ve received burgers where about three-quarters of the patty is medium-well, while the rest is medium-rare, and other times it’s closer to a 50/50 split. It’s just odd and inconsistent, especially when you’re paying over $50 for 4 burgers.
Another frustration is that special instructions seem to be ignored. Even when I clearly ask for certain items to be excluded, they still show up on the burger as if the notes weren’t read at all.
Overall, Fun Buns isn’t terrible, but for the price point, I expect better consistency, more accurate presentation, and attention to order notes. Right now, it’s just average at best.

We came for the food and already loved that they bring water for our pups. But then Sage really said hold my tray. I asked for the whipped cream from my milkshake on the side because my dogs love it—fully expecting a sad little dollop in a disposable cup. Nope. Sage brought out a generous portion in an actual glass bowl. For the dogs. Icon behavior. 10/10, best waitress ever.
