This used to be an awesome dive bar. However, the service and the food have really gone down hill. It’s a pity.

It's a old place that had a heavy rock/metal night. Bands were good and Cris (female bartender) was great

Truthfully it doesn't deserve a star when it comes to Thursday night Open-Mic. As a former professional musician I cant wrap my head aroud a 4 min. song taking at minimum 8-10 min. to play at 3-4 songs per person depending on where you rank on Dave and Spencer's popularity chart. Sound was horribly managed couldnt hear vocals because of every guitar feeding back due to excessive volume. Nothing was cohesive. As I was packing up because at 11:30. After being there for 2hours and 45 min. it was clear i wasnt going to get to play. Spencer's had the audacity to ask why I was leaving as if this kind of shit show is normal. In short dont waste your time, leave this place to the regulars. And the food was garbage.

They had bands playing including my friend, the bassist of Jidora, and had absolutely slapping metal by the other bands, especially When The Sun Dies. They're playing again this Friday and I can't wait! Great Venue and affordable drinks 👍

Egregiously Unprofessional Conduct, Hostile Treatment, and Alleged Discriminatory Behavior

I traveled from Richmond, TX to The Woodlands to celebrate my friend’s birthday and was met with service that was wholly unacceptable and deeply unprofessional. The bartender, a white female identified as Megan, conducted herself in a manner unbecoming of her position, engaging in inappropriate behavior by initiating an unsolicited arm-wrestling challenge, repeatedly interjecting herself into private conversations, displaying overtly dismissive body language such as eye-rolling, and instructing other patrons not to interact with us.

The situation escalated during final call when, after my friend extended a $10 gratuity despite the poor service, Megan abruptly confiscated my fully paid for beverage, disposed of it in front of me, and demanded that I leave the premises. This occurred despite the fact that I had consumed only two alcoholic beverages the entire evening and was in no way impaired. Upon requesting a refund, I was met with outright refusal, verbal hostility, threats of physical removal, and aggressive encroachment into my personal space.

In an effort to avoid escalation, I contacted local law enforcement. However, the responding officers declined to file a report despite my clear request, stating only that “nothing was going on,” which I find to be an unacceptable abdication of their professional responsibilities. My friend’s celebratory evening was effectively destroyed by what I reasonably perceive to be racially motivated discrimination and targeted hostility. To further compound the matter, the bartender was consuming alcohol while on duty, in direct contradiction to her claim of holding TABC certification.

This incident reflects not only a profound lapse in professionalism and customer service but also raises serious concerns regarding the ethical standards of both the establishment and the Montgomery County Police Department. I will be pursuing all appropriate avenues for formal recourse.
