Bleu oyster bar and seafood

The food was excellent! We have been coming here for years--primarily for the lobster rolls. So fresh and delicious. There oysters and grilled fish are always good as well! So sorry to see another restaurant in Santa Monica closing!! Such a shame.

So sad that it's closing. Everything we ordered was delicious. Cozy atmosphere. Our server, Reid was wonderful. He allowed my daughter to make a song request and was super kind.

This was undoubtedly the least satisfactory seafood I have ever had the displeasure of consuming. The gumbo appeared to be overcooked, the wings were dry and seemed to lack any discernible flavor. The only redeeming factor was that I had to season the food once more. The customer service, however, was quite satisfactory. Generally, if one item in a meal is subpar, it is usually another that is acceptable. This was clearly not the case.

It's a travesty that this restaurant is closing like so many others in Santa Monica. A true gem. Will miss this lovely spot.

We have loved you since our first dinner many years ago when we were visiting LA. BPO immediately became our favorite spot here. Now we live here and will have the fondest memories of the food, drinks and watching the sunset over the Pacific. So sorry to see you go 😢!! Best of luck to you and your staff.

We are very sad this restaurant is closing. Everything is always so great. It was my son's birthday and since he doesn't eat cakes or pies or desserts really they made him a grilled oyster with a candle in the lemon. It was so sweet and he was SO happy. We will miss this Santa Monica staple

The oysters were not up to their usual taste! They were tiny and not very meaty. I was disappointed. The calamari and crab sliders were good..... The servers were excellent. I'm truly sorry you're going out of business... You've been one of my favorites for years!!!!

Absolutely terrible. Ordered and 15 minutes later came out to tell us they were out of Caesar salad? Umm we got there when they opened. We had ordered 2 salads, one with shrimp. We ended up leaving.

Great food... oysters were wonderful, so was the crispy risotto. Service a little slow... the server had too many tables...not his fault!! Great place!!

We are so very sad that blue plate oysterette will be closing in January! Big loss to the Santa Monica community.
