I’m not from the area and I was really craving catfish just to say the least it was terrible! I think the hush puppies was the best part of the meal but I will not be going back. Disappointed to say the least.

I've been coming here for years. Recently they have reduced their portions and altered the menu items.
Gumbo bowl for 10.99 was served in the same container as the "large" which costs $2 less. Container is also about 50% rice.
Same issue with red beans. They used to have sausage in them, but that's no longer the case. Also served as 50% rice.
The food is good, but not worth the money anymore. Hopefully restaurant owners and staff will make better choices in the future.

1st time here, I had the fried fish and shrimp basket. everything was really good I personally would have like a little more seasoning on fried catfish but it still did not disappoint. Service was good as well.
The food is fantastic. My husband and I enjoy the food here so much that we usually buy takeout every week. Today, i decided to dine in with my granddaughter and order a takeout. I attempted to order my take out as I ordered my dine in order. The employee who took my order suggested I wait until I finished dining in to place my take out order. No problem.. After I finished dining I asked for a takeout tray and the worker pointed to the takeout trays and instructed me to get it myself then I informed him I wanted to place a to go and he said go to the counter and place it all while I had my 14 month old granddaughter on my hip. Customer Service is really poor. This is the prime reason Black people do not feel obligated to support black own businesses.. Because Customers Service is most commonly poor when dealing with us.Their actions resulted in missing the opportunity of gaining an additional 50+ dollars gain forthis day of servvice

Shrimp taco plate is always a hit. Two fried one grilled. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and patient. Will come back and try the shrimp and grits.
#1 I’m not from Houston, wanted fresh fish. This is a helll no. Why te grits have meat in it? Everyone do not eat pork. The fish was mushy it was such a disappointment. The guy was talking way too much had to repeat my order 4 times. Fries- trash. Hush puppies would’ve been great if it was hot. Shrimp- precooked. Get it together! For what yall charging this absolutely sucked. No shade no tea. Evern the girls at the front register was like nah you don’t wanna try that. Take this seriously you could be great. Stop frying hush puppies and fish in the same grease. Just HELL NO!

The food is outrageous! They don’t sell “catfish” anywhere inside but they are passing SWAI fish as catfish AND charging catfish prices! It is also ILLEGAL to list “catfish” ON THE MENU and give swai!!! Made me extremely sick, I guess it was bad. When I called back, they blocked my number.
They also have horrible attitudes.
