Chycho's Pollos Al Carbon Tacos

So I'm only giving this three starts because I miss the old Chychos. They don't make tacos like they used when they were a small food truck by the gas station and it makes me sad. I think that's what made Chychos so great was the tacos. They just aren't the same. Please Get back to your roots. I love what this establishment has built over the years, and am happy and excited to see it grow. But the tacos just aren't the same .

The service is always great, along with the atmosphere especially on Friday nights with live music entertainment. I have been a long time customer since the day they started out in a food truck. Unfortunately, I had to stop my regular Friday night visits due to roaches crawling in the bar counter where I was seated with my husband. It was very disappointing to see that the cleaning has been an issue. What once was a great spot to eat at is now a place I have to avoid. I did speak to the manager that night and they admitted to have already bomb the place with treatment. However, if that were the case they should have at least closed down for a day or 2 to ensure they had the cleaning and treatment done properly for at least 24hrs. I do not think a professional treatment has been done since the place has not closed for even a day. An overnight treatment is not going to be a fix. I love the margaritas and drinks they offered. Along with the great staff that work there faithfully. So before you take a bite of your food, you might want to look around to see if nothing is moving in your food. Or crawling on your table. The food is always decent (average) and good quality definitely. Some of the dishes are better than others though. Corn tortillas are excellent 👌 enchiladas and quesabirria are good. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is good and good music. It's local and fairly priced and the service is always good so we eat here a lot even though it's not the best IMO

Place is okay was craving the whole grilled chicken but $24 and the chicken and side portions are very small?? When they first opened it was $10 and the last time I bought was $19.99 they just keep going up. At least make sides bigger. I will pass.

With three mexican restaurants within a block,it is easy to see which is most popular. Chycho's is always busy and the food is great and authentic. I recommend the Torta Cubano for lunch, but you better be hungry! This is also I go-to place for margaritas. :-)

Their birriaquesadillas are amazing even if you re heat them at the microwave the next day, delicious meat and cheese and is really generous for the price. The parking is really difficult at any time but the staff is really friendly!

We usually order food to go, the Fajita mixed plate for two and some sausage. Aside from increase in pricing their food portions have been smaller each time. It’s been twice now that they give us 3 small fajita pieces, two pieces of chicken and maybe 2 sausages. Barely enough for one person. The rice was over cooked, charro beans are just regular beans (undercooked) in broth. The sausage, fajita and chicken did taste good. But unfortunately the portion sizes are not worth the money.

I just left from ordering there, wouldn’t go there again based off customer Service. I came in ordered tacos and flautas. Shortly after, another two people came in ordered after me then we proceeded to wait some more, they called an order up and I thought it was mine because i ordered before everyone else that came in after me. The lady says it’s for the lady that just ordered. Mind you, she ordered there at the restaurant NOT an order pickup. So I was confused as to why she got her food before us, especially when it was the same food. The lady who got her food was making a situation about her food and there was SEVERAL workers standing around, while that was going on there was more orders coming out that were ready. After that dispute another guy came in, and the lady who took our order who was supposed to be giving us our food starts making conversation with him for a bit while the orders are just sitting there. She then decided to FINALLY do her job and give us our order. I was very disappointed by the urgency they failed to have, even with giving them a tip you would think they’d have a bit better customer service. I guess not… overall experience was not good and the food is super over priced.

I always come here but never again.. if I was in Spring I would be up there because what I was given as a plate. I paid for absolutely nothing!!! Pissed off!!!
