Waited a little over three hours in line… would definitely do it again.

The food here was really good and great. And the people here working were really nice to me at my time inside there. And specifically the people cooking the food and orders, they were cooking it like their life depended on it, and how did the food turn out you may ask? It turned out to where words can't even describe, the only to understand how it tastes is to go try it for yourself. Warning though, you may gain a self addiction to coming to this place from how good it is. I definitely recommend this place to the upcoming people that are looking for their new favorite BBQ food because this is it and you reached the end of your journey, because it ends here, with your newfound, favorite, God like food, bbq food from here at home, CorkScrew BBQ. And finally, I recommend this place a 5 out of 5.

Maybe I was too excited to go as I’d heard a lot about the place. The food wasn’t very tasty to me and the portions were pretty small for the price. I had links and chipped beef. I likely won’t be returning.
All aspects of being served and the service was really good. Everyone was nice and quite attentive.

Outside of my father’s brisket, this is best place I’ve been too for brisket! Don’t know what it’s like on the weekdays but on the weekends, expect to wait in line for quite a while. To butter you up, they serve you drinks while you wait and although, you’re waiting outside in the heat you’re covered on this porch and there are multiple fans to cool you down. The inside of the place is pretty small and packed but once you get to eating, nothing tastes bad! But the brisket is the star that brought you here!

This was our first time trying Corkscrew! We waited roughly 45 min to get our food and go. We also got there as soon as they opened too.
We definitely had some mixed reviews on the food!
The good:
- Coleslaw was delicious! Had a nice creamy texture with an added spicy kick to it!
- Baked beans were also very good, they had a nice smoky taste to them and were thick.
- Not really a flavor critique, but I enjoyed how many extras they gave you (pickles, jalapeños, bread, onions).
The not so good:
- Brisket was very juicy, but flavor was incredibly lacking.
- Mac and cheese was super plain, I wouldn’t even get it again.
- Ribs were just meh, wasn’t anything special about them and were a bit dry.
Cheddar Sausage was also pretty basic and nothing memorable.
We spent 100 + tax for everything shown in the photos! I wouldn’t return again, as the food is far from impressive but it was nice to try just once.

I’m writing this review in line. I’ve been standing for 2 hours just to order. I don’t care how good the food is, it’s not worth this wait. They have the most inefficient cashier system of all time and have zero sense of urgency. They even have jokes on wall teasing the patrons that they’ll be charged extra for “whining” about the wait. The ONLY reason we are still here is for all the time wasted in line. Never again!

Welcome to Houston's only Michelin Star rated BBQ Joint for 2024 and 2025!
For over the last 12 years, I have enjoyed what I consider the most consistently prepared smoked brisket I have ever experienced and eaten.
I can say this as a 75 year old BBQ brisket lover, I have eaten Texas BBQ all my life, as well as at BBQ joints I would find when I traveled for business for over 30 years.
All their food is excellent. Will Buckman is the pitmaster working with his wife, Nichole, who is the creative force behind the sides and desserts, and is their business manager.
Get ready for a wonderful BBQ experience.

I was visiting from out of town to try this Michelin star barbecue restaurant and it really did live up to my expectations! I got the ribs, brisket, and mac n cheese.
The ribs were well seasoned, and had a little kick to them from the chili flakes. I will say, they could have been a little more tender!
On the other hand, the brisket was melt in your mouth soft and deliciously smoky.
The barbecue sauce was nice but nothing special.
The Mac n cheese was just okay. I prefer a Mac n cheese that has a sharper cheddar, but this tasted a bit flat and more so like an Alfredo Mac. If that’s your vibe, you’d enjoy this one!
The biggest issue I had with this place is the LONG, LONG line. We waited for almost two hours to just put our order in. After that, there’s a wait to even get your food. I understand that it’s a popular spot, but they definitely need to update the way they serve customers! For such a long wait, I think you can find a better barbecue spot in Texas.

I arrived an hour before opening and got in just a few minutes after they opened the doors—the wait moved quickly and was totally manageable.
The brisket and ribs were absolutely incredible, Top-tier Texas barbecue. The whole chicken was solid, with good smoke flavor and moisture throughout.
The sides were okay—nothing special about the beans or potato salad.
This place lives up to its reputation as one of Houston's best BBQ spots. you won't be disappointed.
