One of the best Louisiana food places I have ever had in Houston. I keep coming back for more Ive been like 5-6 times already. People wait at larger restaurants, so of course there maybe be a wait at a smaller one. Ive even sat at the bar until a table was available which was fine with me. Definitely worth the wait one of my favorite restaurant now. I came during lunch hour, dinner hour and ordered to go.

Wasn't exactly thrilled when I saw the server bringing my bag sideways while he carried multiple plates. I knew it was all going to get mixed together. Shrimp and grits definitely didn't look like the picture I saw on the reviews. Please take more pride in your takeout orders as it makes me not want to come back!

The food took over an hour to get to us. When we did receive our food, the food was overcooked. My daughter had burnt taste gumbo. My husband's food was overcooked. Two people at the table didn't receive our orders. Then it took another 30-45 minutes to get our check.

Went on a Wednesday - steak night, the steak was under cooked - ordered well done, it came medium (I did have 2 edge bites)... I ate the salad & about half the baked potato... I stopped sending food back to the kitchen years ago because if the cook couldn't do it the first time it's not likely to be done the second time & I know how to cook & could easily finish cooking it for lunch the day following... it was very good once it was cooked like I actually ordered it... hubby had crawfish, they were small, hard to peel & tough, as if they were overcooked (ironic) the kid had a shrimp po-boy & scarfed it down - he seemed to enjoy his meal, whereas hubs & I weren't impressed... about the service, the hostess that seated us was busily taking away empty dishes from tables with people, then clearing & cleaning tables after folks left, it was very busy, only a few empty tables, which may have been why it took almost 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered, then another 15 to get them & to take our order... then it took at least another 5 minutes after the food arrived to flag someine to get me some silverware - all the more reason to not send my steak back to be fully cooked as ordered & instead just ask for a to-go box... since this was our 2nd time there, I had hoped for a different outcome, being that the first time wasn't really worth making a second trip, but hubby wanted crawfish... it's all good though, the kitchen guys delivered the food, so it wasn't just sitting in wait for a server to bring it out!
It's kinda loud inside, hard to hear the people at your own table, especially when a group of customers are celebrating & all trying to talk over each other... but all in all, it just wasn't a trip that made me want to go back again... to all who've had a good experience, good for you & thanks for supporting local small businesses!

Dined today and the food was amazing! The pork sandwich was spot on!! And the crawfish…..omg! They were Devine! We stopped only to say hello to Mr Larry and pick up a few bottles of his spices. But the smell got us! We had to order and it was even better than expected. Staff was amazing and the overall experience was great! Thanks Mr Larry for an amazing restaurant and for keeping the “real” cooking of crawfish ALIVE.

I recently dined at your restaurant and while I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, I unfortunately had a frustrating experience regarding the seating process.
While I was waiting to be seated, I observed several tables reserved for friends of the staff or others who were not yet present. This left many customers, including myself, waiting much longer than necessary, despite the fact that there were empty tables available. It was disheartening to see people who had reservations holding up tables while others waited, especially when the restaurant was clearly busy.
It's unfortunate, as your food is absolutely amazing, and I had high hopes for the overall experience. However, this issue with seating created an unpleasant atmosphere and took away from what could have been a much more enjoyable time.
I truly hope you can address this concern in a way that better balances reserved seating with the needs of all guests. I would love to return to your restaurant, but I hope future visits will have a smoother, more considerate seating process.

This little spot is awesome with the small town vibe, plus $5 bloody Mary's on sunday makes it more enjoyable start with breakfast and stay till lunch. Plus TVs to watch sports all over.
When I say this food was good I mean it. I almost ate the hard plate. My meal was so good and the benigns was so good definitely worth the stop

Amazing little place that feels like, always a little bit of a crowd, but great service and delicious food. My favorite is the blackened fish tacos. My husband swears it’s the best fried steak he’s ever had.
Typically the food here is amazing. We had a few problems with our meals today but even so...we will definitely be back. Great service and drinks!!

Their Cajun Food is Absolutely Scrumptious !! My fave is the Catfish Mardi Gras. Everything was full of flavor! I live close to the Restaurant and can't believe I've never heard or been to this establishment. P.S. The Gumbo was Delicious also ?
