Great southern cooking. Straight forward Breakfast with a nice cozy place. Very friendly staff. Hill Country vibe. Come as you are!

It's a small place for a music venue but there's not a bad seat in the house. I like that you can eat and relax while listening to the music. I do feel a bit bad for musicians that play there because it's set back off the road with a small sign and doesn't seem to get many passerbys that could be intrigued by it. The food was good - plain and typical but good and tasty nonetheless. Not pictured is the bread pudding which I also had and that was sooo yummy! Loved that whiskey list too... the server literally handed me a binder, haha. That made my day. Ended up going with a sweet tea bourbon cocktail and just like the write-up said, it was perfect for a hot Texas day.

7/8/22-We try to give business to local restaurants that aren't big corporations. I was really disappointed today when my husband's order of two pancakes was $9.99. And, when he added eggs, potatoes, and ham to that, that's another $9.99. $20 for breakfast. You can get five pancakes at IHOP for $8.49, and two pancakes at the pricier Snooze AM for $8.29. Latte was good. Food was just OK. I didn't care much for the bacon. Sorry, we tried.

Their breakfast is standard, which is fine. However the item, Belgian Waffles was very bad. The batter itself was bland and didn't have the taste and texture from all Belgian waffle places. The Belgian waffles were crispy on the top half and soggy on the bottom half. These are just regular waffles not Belgium. Please do not order this item, they just put a fake name to make it sound more enticing. Please do not make the same mistake I did.

Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast burritos were delicious and very fresh. Nice selection of offerings. Salsa is quite flavorful as are the jalapeños. Breakfast tacos are great too. Very friendly service. Fair pricing.

Found this place on Facebook, came for breakfast. Don't be deterred by the "strip mall" outside appearance, inside is so charming and nostalgic! Our server Jacki was very friendly and helpful, added a lot to our experience. Great food options, reasonable prices. I had the Barnyard Mouse, plenty of food even though the menu says "mini pancakes "! Worth the 20 minute drive.

I purchased tickets online and was double charged. When I contacted the business they were unwilling to refund the overcharge. I would suggest that if you decide to visit this establishment, don't buy online. BTW, the sliced brisket was so salty that it was not edible. There are so many entertainment establishments in The Woodlands, why subject yourself to this kind of drama and bad food. Will pass this one by in the future.

The last 3 times I have been there for breakfast, the service was great, food amazing, coffee hot! Mrs. Jackie served me all 3 times, she is a treasure, good spirited and a hard worker. Will keep coming back!

I pass Dosey Doe on the way to work but had thought it was just a place for live music and bar food. On a whim a friend and I met others there for a lunch. The diningroom was empty - one other table had a gentlemen finishing his meal. I was hoping it was just quiet due to an earlier lunch (11:30). Our waitress was quick to the table, dropped off menus and took our drink order (sweet tea, please) and zipped back to her stations. We reviewed the ALL DAY BREAKFAST menu with hints of our Cancun vacation (migas) and elevated fare (benedict) alongside the old timey favorites of chicken fried steak with pepper gravy. I was torn as the other side of the menu promised BBQ and a slew of other southern lunch favorites. Smack in the middle is the promise of a sweet Argentinian empanada with fruits and cream. We had the chicken fried steak and gravy with biscuit, the eggs benedict and brisket and pulled port tacos. We started with the chicken fried steak bites with gravy for dipping because....yes. I wish now I had taken pictures, but we were hungry and it was smelling awesome. The meal came out quickly and it was AMAZING. The BBQ was a mix of lean and fatty brisket in two taco and the pork butt in the other. The right amount of smoke the meat was tender and delicious. It was garnished with onions, cilantro and lime with a side of BBQ sauce and a creative derivation on succotash. It had corn and peppers and tomato and was charred to perfection. The benedict seemed a little...homey - with the sauce covering a very well contained egg on the english muffin and the hashbrowns were divine. The chicken fried steak covered the plate, as it should and was smothered in gravy. The fresh, hot, steamy, fluffy biscuit was delivered with some fan-fare. All in all, we were thrilled with lunch and there were far too many items on the menu that I need to try. Trying (not hard enough) to get a group back for a Sunday brunch - hoping it's not too busy. Oh...and the decor was a fun mix of vintage vibes. Mobile pegasus, old radios, dark and brooding. Can't say I'd like it different for it being a whiskey bar - another element to try.

In a world full of chain restaurants this is a nice step away from that....with live music. Best secret in the woodlands!! Great food, great drinks and great music.

This is my favorite breakfast in the Woodlands. The only drawback is no outdoor seating. The coffee is roasted locally and it tastes amazing. The portions are big enough to take half home and there are a lot of options to choose from - from what I've tried, you really can't go wrong. And in the middle of the Great Resignation, they somehow manage to have the BEST servers. I hope this means management and customers treat them well (and tip accordingly!) They are truly top-notch. Friendly, but not over the top or fake. They refilled my coffee and promptly offered me a to-go box for my leftovers (did I mention the huge portions?) Consider me a regular.

One of my absolute favorite breakfast spots! If I could, I would get their breakfast burrito and a cup of hot chocolate every morning. Service can be a bit slow when they are packed, but usually they are on top of it!

Shoutout to our understanding waiter I forgot his name, but the food that I got was just not good and my meal was comped thankfully. I got the brisket hash that came served at the table in a screaming hot 5-inch cast iron skillet. The issue with serving it in the skillet is that literally everything in contact with the skillet got burnt to where it ruined the dish. The portion size was also disappointing. There was no sauce to go with the hash. It was just a miss. I also got a single rib to try because I was curious and the rib was over cooked and dry. I wasn't impressed. The highlight of the meal were the armadillo eggs we had as an app. Great thing to get when you come.

The brisket dinner with beans and creamed corn and the Memphis pork sandwich with fries were delicious last night! Hands down amazing BBQ and by far the best in the area. I recommend the Texas toast with dinner. Also, the BBQ sauce is homemade. On to Whiskey... they make their own bitters and are super knowledgeable on whisky, it's pretty amazing! Apparently, they now have music at this location too, saw the schedule posted. Go and check this place out- it's so yummy!
