I have been coming to El imperial for probably 35 years, along with many of my friends. I love the fact that the food is still the same as it was many years ago even after they changed locations. The cheese enchiladas are my fave!

I moved out of state 10 years ago, but when I come into town I'll stop by when I can. My family who still lives in Houston is very loyal to this place, all the way back from the late 90s, and they were still off 1960. Oscar is a warm and convivial host and remembers my parents from those days. The food is about the same from how I remember it growing up in those times. Not as busy, though, and we had three different waitstaff come to our table asking if we needed anything....
