I hate to leave such review but I will not return here. The customer service is not great. Seems Granny always has an attitude. The corn bread was disgusting. 🤢 I took one bite and spit it out. The side items have no flavor. Taste like cafeteria food.

This is decent food! The fish is really good! They could give more portion-wise but it was decent and the fish and peach cobbler was good!

Granny Dee’s is the best when it comes to soul food. I love their meatloaf dinner. I would have shown a picture but the food was so fresh I couldn’t wait.
Swing on in if you want some good soulful food that will touch your soul.

The prices are great too !!!

1st time here. I love supporting small businesses. However when it comes to Soul Food, I look for taste/flavor, texture and portions. I must say I was disappointed. The rice was gooey/soggy/mushy you could definitely tell it was OVERCOOKED or reheated with water and/or off brand rice. The cornbread flavor was decent but it tasted like 2 day old cornbread. The collard greens were tasty but it reminded me of Glory Greens in a can. The mac-n-cheese taste like box mac-n-cheese with melted cheese. The wings had little to no flavor, and were very dry. The gravy was ok. The BEST thing I enjoyed was the Kool-aid, which is why I gave 2 stars vs 1 star. I hope the dessert taste good, I haven't tried it yet. And the customer service was Awesome.

This is a failing business from two years ago.
Strange limited seating
Condiments absent
portions tiny
tasteless
served in. foil
plastic utensils
partial menu
not clean
rude man taking orders at window
slow
I cannot think of a reason to return

1st, I must say the older lady was sweet, JUST that one that I spoke to on my way out.
But, I've tried the every time I’ve come home 1st $48, good, but the serving amount is a 2! Customer service is 2! The last time was yesterday, asked for a side, 1? I had brought my GREAT Baked Chicken@7-11”……paid for mashed potatoes and gravy…. SPOILED!!! Had to throw it away . SHAME ON BLACKS Capitalizing off Soul Food Name.

My first time to Granny Dee’s, the soul food was not impressive. The Baked Chicken came with three dried drumsticks very little rice and just a hint of gravy. The collard greens had no flavor but the yams were decent. The fried fish was on point but the portions of fries were barely enough to fill one of the side cups of the to-go container. The amount of food is not worth what they are charging. The Greasy Spoon on the other hand knows how to serve a plate, the to-go container can barely close. But I like said, the Fried Fish is on point and if I come back it will be for the fish. Oh, and the cornbread was so dry, it crumbled in my hand.

This is exactly the type of place that my soul was needing. The meatloaf was spot-on and the red sauce is essentially culinary crack. The mac and cheese is the perfect ratio and the sweet tea is what's going to bring me back for round two! Add to that the people behind the counter are the sweetest, kindness and carrying people you'll ever meet! It's safe to say that my soul is satiated!
