I genuinely love Hat Creek Burger Company. It is one of the few places that truly understands the balance between feeding your kids and giving moms a moment to breathe. The playground is a game changer. The kids can run, climb, and burn energy while the adults get to sit down, eat, and actually have a conversation. That alone makes it a go to spot for playdates and super casual birthday parties.
The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. The food is great if you are in the mood for a splurge. Their burgers are solid, the fried pickles are fantastic, and both the regular fries and sweet potato fries hit every time. They also have great salad options if you want something lighter. I am not a huge fan of their keto options, so if you are going low carb, it may not be your favorite stop. But if you want a good, satisfying burger experience, this is the place.
They also offer wine, red, white, and rose, which feels like a small luxury when you are out with kids. I believe they serve beer as well, though that is not really my thing. It is rare to find a kid friendly environment where adults can still enjoy themselves a little, and Hat Creek manages to do that well.
Atmosphere wise, it is definitely more kid friendly than upscale or sophisticated. But that is exactly the point. It accommodates the kids and gives the adults permission to relax. For parents, especially moms who need a decompression zone, it is kind of perfect.
Went here with my partner on valentines day just to try the Gluten free burger and it was wonderful. Has to be the best Gluten Free bun I've had, didn'tcrumble in my hands and held up to all of the juices. Spoke with the manager/Supervisor who went into detail on how the bun, nuggets and seasoned fries are kept Gluten free in a shared kitchen. I'm glad to have found a place to go that treats food like it's something everyone should be able to enjoy together even if you has an allergy. Also can't hear the kids playing outside inside so huge plus.

The food had little seasoning and was pricy for what you get. A small side cup of chili that is mostly tomatoes and water is $3 and a small side of cheese is $.50. The burger is not seasoned much and has a fresh bun that is soft but it's $5 on top of expensive burger to get a small fry and a 20oz drink. I ordered a frozen lemonade for my drink and it seemed like it was past it's date and came in a kid size cup for an additional $5. The bacon was a minimal amount and super hard. The staff was very friendly and the playground was large and full of happy kids. I probably won't go back because of the price for the portion.

We had a great experience at Hat Creek Burger Company! The food was delicious and fresh, but the real highlight for us was the kids’ play area. It’s a game changer for parents — being able to sit down, enjoy a good meal, and actually relax while the kids run, play, and burn off energy is priceless. I stopped by here this evening for dinner per request of the Lord almighty, and I must say everything from customer service to cleanliness to freshly made tasty food was topnotch.
I enjoyed the Southwest Chicken Salad with chipotle ranch dressing, and the excellent customer relations experience I received from Carl.
