This is now El Imperial and they have a GREAT menu! Excellent service and a friendly owner that comes by to chat and make sure everything is good. ❤️❤️❤️. Highly recommend.

Love supporting local business.. love going here because they have great reasonable food, great service and of course great food. It's not noisy like some other places either.

The folks that used to have El Imperial restaurant on 1960 near Houston Northwest Hospital are running this place now. You can expect the same quality of food like the old El Imperial. The food is awesome!!

The owners of this place were the owners of El Imperial Mexican restaurant on 1960 and I-45 behind Dunkin Donuts, where it was for 40 years until January 1st, 2019. They were forced to move here to this current location because the hospital by their previous location bought up all that property, and didn't renew their lease, forcing them out. Therefore, El Imperial is BACK, just under this name temporarily ? still they are my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, and I always go here every chance I get. Why would I go anywhere else? I've been loving their food for 40 years and not about to stop. I've had every item on the menu at least once, and it never disappoints. They are amazingly good at everything they make. When you walk in the door, you are treated like family right away. The rest will entice your taste buds. Fajitas, enchiladas, tamales, flautas, nothing but the best ?? OLÉ!!!!!

The staff is incredible. The food is scrumptious! I give this place a 10!! Had so much fun enjoying the food. They spoiled us with soup on the house . And the sever named Daniel was so sweet and humorous. We will definitely come back again and refer everyone we know!!

Food was delicious. Only downfall is that they change the pricing from the menu. Due to this I cannot trust them to come back. Just sad cause food is awesome.

Amazing food, and amazing service. The portion are more Than normal, which is good for the prices that they have. The food is presented very well. The Civil ware is clean. The servers are very friendly, kinda like family. I highly recommend asking for Daniel as your server, he is very funny, has a great smile and a positive personality.

This is a great little restaurant off Louetta with quite possibly the BEST black bean dip and tortilla chips an eatery has ever, or will ever, offer. You can probably just throw down on the bean dip, salsa, and salsa verde alongside a few of their tasty (and potent) frozen margaritas and call it a day (or night.)

I have been eating their great for 30 years now. They were formally known as El Imperial and located on 1960 near I-45. They have great food, great prices and great service. I highly recommend this place!

Wow... the only reason we stopped here was because of the reviews... the only thing that was good here were the chips and black beans... you all just dont know what good Mexican food taste like... this is just ridiculous.
