Rao's Bakery & Coffee Cafe

Drove all the way to Spring to buy one of their King Cakes. We were sadly disappointed. There was a puddle of liquid on the cardboard in the center circle which was gross enough. The cake itself tasted raw and stale. The filling did not taste good either. I couldn’t even finish the one piece I cut. I reached out via the contact us form on the website but never received a response.

Oh Gosh I discovered Raos about 4 years ago I LOVE IT!! EVERYTHING Is Yummy and the Employees are So Nice I will be back Soon .

🥹I so want to leave a good review but as much as I love their food the management / organization is seriously lacking when it comes to "orders to go" Today was my 4th time of them failing to get things ready on time. Normally I make the order on line but this time I went to the store at 6pm last night and placed my order for pick up 7.00-7.15 am this morning. I arrive at 7.10am and can see what I recognize as part of my order but only the bakery items and not the hot breakfasts items. The staff fumbled for 5 minutes and then when I gave them my receipt which was also taped to the one box of muffins said that the hot items would be 15 minutes or so!!!!! Clearly, they had not even started my order and yet I could see other items ready for pick up for 9am.....I finally left the store at 7.35am so hit all the traffic I was trying to avoid. As mentioned this is the 4th time this has happened to me, the last time I was 40 minutes the other side of town when I realized half of my order was missing for a customer breakfast. This is totally unacceptable and the other annoying issue is when I mention this to the staff at the time no-one could care less or concern for the fact they have once again let me down. Sadly, for them today was the last day I will go. Management need to get their team organized as I cant believe if this is the normal service they don't lose numerous customers. 🤬🤬🤬

Yes I had a problem the minute I went to order a slice of the Chocolate silk pie the server said that’s 7.00 and I said ok but I never ask prices . Then I change my mind because that wasn’t what I asked her she said it’s chocolatetly . I said I’ll just have the Blueberry bran muffin anyways Then my friend with me order cherry scone and it had a cherry pit in it .She could’ve choked . I asked that our food be warmed up. And I was directed to a microwave that didn’t work . We didn’t bother to ask our server/waitress Denise was her name Horrible Another lady did it for us . I will never order another thing in here on the weekends Horrible I will write their corporate office Most definitely as Iam African American and I have plenty of money to pay for my pie and my friend order too

Let me start off by saying thank you to the amazing staff Angelina and Soleil! They were kind and very helpful. This was my first time dining in and won’t be my last, the atmosphere was so peaceful and perfect for 6am coffee run before work. The baked goods were so delicious, the muffins really hit the spot with my coffee!

Honestly an amazing spot. I just discovered this place on accident. I was looking for a quiet place to work before a meeting nearby and I was pleasantly surprised. The workers and the patrons are amazing. Everyone is so calm yet upbeat. The staff greeted me immediately and was so warm and welcoming. Sometimes you can catch one of them singing to herself while she makes coffee. If I didn’t live so far away I would come everyday. The beautiful lady with an accent is honestly my favorite person now.

I love Rao's. thir pastries are the best. I usually order a cake once a year, it takes about a year to forget that they have way to much frosting to cake. The taste is great, but the quality is brought down by the frosting amount. This has proven true for the Red Velvet and German Chocolate. Maybe next year.

Nice array of baked goods and light eats. They also have gelato and sorbet. They still sell sandwiches as well.

Honestly a great place to go from the atmosphere to the food and service. Very spacious inside, seating outside as well. The customer service was great the pastries were good as well and the coffee was my favorite part I got a salted caramel mocha latte, very delicious. Recommend coming to try all that they offer

Maybe because it was night time and closer to closing hour, the desserts were staler than usual. The service was good, the desserts were just too sweet and dry.

This place is majestic when you walk in! To the left of the entrance has words written like “coffee” and more and gives the feeling of an old diner and I appreciate that. The place is larger than it looks on the outside and has a very welcoming and comfortable feel, alongside the staff is very kind. I got a tuxedo mocha iced coffee it was very delicious I would recommend it if you were wanting a chocolate taste that said day. The M&M cookie I purchased as well was very good and I’ve been thinking about it since! However, I look forward to going back due to the large selection of cakes and other pastries that make you want to relinquish your afternoon to strictly cake tasting at this establishment!

I just went here recently and picked up some treats for my family. One M&M's cookie, one slice of key lime pie, one strawberry Napoleon and one slice of cheesecake. The cookie was devoured by one of my sons, the key lime pie was tart which I didn't mind but my other son is used to the frozen pie so he found it to have little too much pucker, the Napoleon was conquered by my husband and I happily had the heavenly cheesecake slice! We will definitely be back to try more!
