Sabbatical Spirits at Hop Scholar

This was one of the better cocktail spots in the Woodlands! The staff has changed, cocktails are disappointing and service is lacking (to say the least) since. Now catering to friends/regulars only. Dismissive to the rest.

The venue could have such a cool vibe, but unfortunately, it was dry as gin. The bartender was horrible. It's just a major downer. Try smiling and match the vibe of your customers. So sad!!!

Best place in the Greater Houston area to get cocktails, unfortunately. But they will give you crap, and alienate you if you don’t eat the maraschino cherries that you paid for. So make sure you do what they say or they will treat you accordingly.

Great spot for a cocktail. Huge cocktail menu with something for everyone. We sat at the bar and the bartender was helpful in suggesting things we would like. We would definitely come back!

Always a fantastic time. Bartenders are nerdy but that's a +. Most amazing place to learn more about whiskey in North Houston. Join the program it's worth the money. I actually come here as often as I can just to learn and try new whiskeys.

The food was good; we had wings. Service can use some improvements. I was not crazy about ordering over the count.

We had a wonderful time at Sabbatical! Great bartenders and delicious drinks. Dragon Bowl C has wonderful food, and Hops Scholar has an eclectic variety of beers on tap. We will definitely return whenever we're in the area!

The 'back room' of Hop Scholar is Sabbatical, a grand whiskey bar with a fantastic Happy Hour. Dragon Ball C food is also located there as well. A nice afternoon escape! Enjoyed the Tequila Mule, Mezcal Mule, Paloma, Old Fashioned.. all made with style!

I'm born and raised in The Woodlands and this is the only place I've found in the area where you can get a decent cocktail. This place is excellent.

The best Manhattan and Old Fashioned I've ever had are here. The bartenders (there are two and both are fantastic) truly know how to craft for the person ordering. Great atmosphere with a wonderful selection for both aficionados and someone that needs guidance on where to start on their bourbon experience. Alone, with friends, or on a date, I highly recommend this spot.
