I ordered takeout from Zara's Mediterranean Kitchen and decided to try their Signature Tabbouleh Salad. The flavor was okay—fresh parsley and a decent lemon dressing—but that's about the only positive.
The portion was disappointingly small just 10oz (weight of container is 3oz) total for $12, which felt like a rip-off. To make matters worse, it came without any pita bread, which is pretty standard for Mediterranean salads like this.
Overall, it just wasn't good value for money. I've had much better and more generous tabouli at other places for less, to bad there is no Fadis of this side of town.

Everyone is so friendly and the food is delicious. I come from Katy just to eat here all the time. It’s fresh and authentic.

Incompetent service, most of the time when I pay for waffle fries, its missing from my order, and on the off chance they add it, there isn’t more than 4/5 fries count.
Service is really incompetent, unhelpful, and unwilling to right a wrong in general.
We keep giving a chance to this place because the food is good, and cause the staff keeps changing, but honestly, I have better things to do than wait 45 minute hours on a pick up order for a shawarma sandwich with fries.
If you choose to order to go, make sure you check what you’re getting, cause there is little work ethic and pride in their job with these people.

I absolutely love Zara’s Mediterranean Kitchen on Rayford Road. The chicken and steak shish kebab are my go-to every time. The chicken is incredibly flavorful and always cooked perfectly. I always start my meal with their hot mint tea with sugar cubes, which sets the tone right away. Zara’s special iced tea is also amazing, super refreshing and full of flavor. The decor and atmosphere are warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Service is always friendly and prompt, and I also love that they are open until midnight. This place never disappoints and is easily one of my favorites in the area.

Tried the chicken shawarma wrap … the chicken was super dry … sauces taste like they were made with that fake vegetable oil base mixed with super high fructose syrup sauce … definitely the tzatziki dip had a tinge of those fake ingredients … you can tell when a restaurant is cutting corners to save money …and when things are not made in house.

Shaayan was a wonderful waiter and made a special drink without me asking since they were out of the drink I requested. The food was very good and I would definitely recommend coming here.

It's a perfect restaurant for a young family and the interior is amazing. We loved the food and that is rare for my children.
