Love the meats off the outdoor seasoned pits. Jalapeño sweet creamed corn is spot on. Complimentary beans are great! I would like to see buttered Texas toast as an option. The only negative is waiting on team to prep tray for a to-go box. It takes way too long, even with no one in line/not in rush for three trips there. Easily 10 plus minutes for them to do whatever they do in the back to put my selections from a tray to a to-go box. I ate the beans and chilled but just do not understand the wait. Should be a pretty immediate thing.

As far as BBQ goes it's very mediocre. I honestly don't get the high praise. The drinks taste flat and bad because you don't keep ice in the machine it dispenses from. Drinks lose carbonation when not cooled properly. At least they got the name right Hard 8/100

Best BBQ in the area. The meats are perfectly cooked with just enough smoke. The sides are the best. Beans, creamed corn, Mac and cheese, potato salad, cobbler, and cheese cake. The folks are very helpful. Fun place to visit.

I’m never going to get over the price of smoked bologna. I will say that I had the best steak I’ve had out to eat in a very long time. I will return for that. Kuddo’s to the grill master that night! Chef’s kiss for real. The beans were a major disappointment. Too pricey for my income level but it was overall a good experience.
Just passing through Stephenville Texas one fine December afternoon right around supper time and saw Hard Eight BQ and turned my rig around. Amazing meats, the most tender brisket I’ve ever tasted fresh out of the smoker, rodeo on the screen, trophy game mounts on the walls, Texas sized long tables and just enough bbq smoke in the air to let you know this is genuine Texas Roadhouse BBQ.
