An old school vibe with a familiar feel. Stepping into Peacocks is like stepping back in time. From the old school ceramic coffee mugs, to the portion sizes, this diner is a call back to a time before the corporate copies. Breakfast is the name of the game and nothing disappoints. That being said don't sleep on the burgers. At one time or another I have had everything on the menu and to be honest I can't remember a bad meal. Something to be said for old school consistency and a home town feel.

Go on a Tuesday morning and have Shanae serve you the best breakfast in town! Great food, good people, okay prices. I’ve been going to Peacock’s since 2008 and I’ve never been disappointed!!

Easily the worse of the two Peacock's locations in Stephenville. My girlfriend and I have been to the other one several times and never had anything but great experiences. Here, our food came extremely late and only after we asked about it, because our server was ignoring us to serve 3 different tables that came after us, all who ate before. Our food had been cooked, and was simply left at a counter next to the payment terminal for several minutes until we directed attention to it. By the time we got our food, my girlfriend's patty melt was soggy, and it had a hair in it to boot. I am not a confrontational person and I do not enjoy leaving bad reviews like this, anyone can check my account as a local guide to see that most of my reviews are positive. This experience was unacceptable.

When you walk into the restaurant there is no hostess stand. This is a classic diner where you seat yourself and the waiter/waitress will find you. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with a pancake on the side. Within 10 minutes of ordering, they brought out my food! The layout is very cozy, relaxed and it was quite warm inside the restaurant which made it a tad difficult to focus on enjoying my food. Nonetheless, my meal was superb and I would definitely recommend this classic diner to anyone passing through Stephenville!

Food quality changed when ownership changed. Bologna sandwich at home is better.

This is a typical small-town diner. It's dimly lit, a little grungy, and seating is tightly spaced. The food was decent & came in generous portions at a decent price. As in most of this type of diner, the service was the best part of our visit. So, if you are eating on a budget & want a decent meal that will fill you up, The Peacock is a good option.

They are always super busy. But we don't mind waiting. The servers are super sweet and food is good!

Fire spot in the ville prob one of the best breakfast joints feels like your went back to ya moms house to make some home cooking if you like waffle house style joints this is the spot to go
