Experience was honestly very surprising. We sat down and tried to order the shrimp rolls, egg rolls, and the steamed dumplings. The shrimp rolls were out of stock but the server told us that, then we waited for 10 mins to get the egg rolls and another 30 mins only for someone to come out and say the steamed dumplings are out of stock…. Food was good though except duck made me sick

We used to frequent this place, went there this evening. They were somewhat busy, the owner/waitress had a Nasty face! So disrespectful, didn’t even acknowledge us. We didn’t bother to stay and will not come back either. We went to Jade Garden where we got good food and great service!

★★★★★ A True Hidden Gem for Cantonese Food!
This Cantonese restaurant might not be well known, but it truly deserves more attention—it’s a hidden gem! The flavors are authentic, the dishes are cooked with care, and every bite feels like something homemade yet restaurant-quality.
* Marinated combination was a perfect start—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced.
* Fried flat noodle with beef was outstanding, with tender slices of beef and noodles perfectly stir-fried with that signature smoky wok aroma.
* Sweet and sour spare ribs were another highlight—crispy, tangy, and just the right touch of sweetness.
* Stir-fried mixed chive flower with dry squid, shrimp, and chicken—so unique, packed with flavor, and everything was cooked just right. It had that amazing balance of textures and freshness you only get at really authentic Cantonese spots.
It’s not a fancy place, but the food here easily beats a lot of the bigger-name restaurants. Definitely one of those spots you’re glad to stumble upon and can’t wait to come back to!

Lovely family owned authentic Chinese restaurant. This is probably the best congee in the Greater Houston area. cutaneous egg porridge, 雞粥 are the best. Other dishes are good too. Must eat: 滷水 duck.

It was very quiet only 2 tables when we arrived, only 1 wait staff, who was busy chatting with a table. we walk in and waited…then walked in front of her and waived then she was like oh my bad… seafood porridge is not what it used to be, too salty and hardly any seafood compared to before, it was very watery and salty.

Food: Avoid the chiu chow chicken clay pot! $17 for ALL BONES, no meat! The “soup” was just white paper and chicken bouillon powder! Charging top dollar for zero effort- they didn’t soak the dried dates for long enough, so they were tough and the organs were SO gamey! ?
Service: The waitress recommended this dish AND said, “the chicken has no meat because that’s how it comes in from the farm!” ?
