Dough Zone Dumpling House Sugar Land

Okay I’m giving this place 4 stars mainly because of atmosphere, convenience and how cheap the food was. Obviously in sugar land you’re not gonna get food as good as Chinatown. BUT if you live in sugar land and don’t want to make the drive to Chinatown, i recommend this place. I liked the xiao long bao pork and also the beef noodles. The flavors were there and the price was great but the service was lacking and there could be more flavors in the xiao long bao. It’s still worth 4 stars to me!

Food is great but some time customers service isn’t, went last night and my server try to give me a water water cup that was declined from the table in front of us and when I told him I didn’t want it cause it had lip stick he replied to so you don’t want water 😑. Word of advice bring your own water bottle this the third time they give me a dirty cup with stains and lip stick stain. Dishwasher really gotta them cups

The soup dumplings here are addicting. Ate here with a group of friends and we got so much, and the atmosphere made it a very pleasant experience.

Dietary restrictions: If you are looking for gluten free options they lack options. Only S&S cucumbers.

We ordered 4 dumplings dishes, all terrible. Some even have freezer burn dried out on top, and machine made thin wrapper is soggy, filling is gummy, all tasted worse than frozen dumplings we bought from Asian market and Trader Joe's. If you are looking for hand made dumplings with chewy wrapper texture and full flavored filling, I do NOT recommend this place.

We ate steam pork dumplings , Kyle veggie, beef bun, Dan Dan noodles , scallion pancakes, chives pancakes. Food is delicious. Chives pancakes filling can be less salty but it tastes good.
Decor and atmosphere and clean of restaurant is relax and pleasant. Staff provide wonderful service.
Highly recommend this restaurant in sugar land.

Enjoyed all the food at Dough Zone Sugar Land. Upon walking in, you experience wood tones and modern, simplistic design which is very pleasing. One of the staff members walked up to us and sat us down. We were given a menu list and a pencil where we selected all our food items. There is no menu to look at so it’s easier to scan the QR code to see pictures so that you have a better idea of what you are ordering. The service is different than what you might expect from a regular sit down restaurant. There isn’t an assigned server to you, several servers brought out our food at different times. It wasn’t bad, just thought I’d mention it to set expectation for folks. Our faves were the pork soup dumplings, the chinese crepe, and the fried wonton with chili sauce. We really enjoyed the food and 8 plates were about $60, which was plentiful for our party of 3. Definitely recommend you give Dough Zone a try!

Took a chance to check out this place thinking there would be "something" to eat as a vegetarian but please save your time and go somewhere else. The service is slow it takes atleast 25 min to get any food on the table. I had the spicy vegetarian noodles, vegetarian glass noodles (🤮) which were in this oily soupy watery broth that was just sour and had no taste and some vegetarian dumplings. Everything was tasteless and i just felt bad wasting food but honestly i just couldnt eat anything beyond a few bites. The service was good i appreciated that the host took time to describe all my options but the food was just really bad.

Vegetarian options: Absolutely nothing worth eating, they are extremely low on vegetarian options and the things they do have are pretty gross. Would only slightly recoment the only vegetarian dumpling option but the amount of dough used to make the dumplings is unnecessary it feels like your chewing on rubber

Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience! The food was tasty and the atmosphere was bustling! Our server was kind and attentive! I wish they had more food options! That is the only reason I gave them 4 stars!

I have there several times now and the restaurant continues to run out of certain food more frequently now especially during dinner. I left last time because they were out of certain dishes and went to dumpling house. Don't know how they can run out of food so quickly and often. Also, they are confused with their loyalty program because when I show them the bar code they tell me to just put my number. I did that several times and I haven’t seen any activity since my first visit. I probably will not return and go back to dumpling house.

We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now since we love dumpling and ramen. The place disappointed us as food had no taste at all. Presentation of the food is good but it’s tasteless. Vibe of the place is nice and clearness was appreciated however, I would not recommend it this place to anyone.
