The food is amazing. The atmosphere is lovely. Did I mention the FOOD? Samosas… tasty and accompanied by a fresh slaw and two dipping sauces Chicken Tikka Masala… aromatic and delicious Lamb Vindaloo… perfectly spiced Garlic Naan… can I have more? 😋 (after already ordering it twice in one meal and taking it home) My partner is on Keto and I will sometimes sample a bread or potato something and let him know if it’s worth it for him to break his diet for a bite of it. I had to fight him for the last piece of Garlic Naan (hence, why a second order) and he enjoyed the potato samosa, as well. 😉 We cannot wait to go back! ❤️❤️❤️ Nathan Rife

The service was great. But of the 3 entrees we ordered, 2 of them had the very same gravy base. Plus the main course was brought at the same time as the appetizers

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the rich aroma of spices that promised an unforgettable meal—and it delivered! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, from the perfectly spiced butter chicken to the fragrant basmati rice and pillowy garlic naan.

The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff took time to explain the menu and make thoughtful recommendations. You can tell they take pride in what they do.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for top-notch Indian cuisine, this place is a must-try!

Despite a very pleasant and attentive server Tanvi Food, like Delhi papdi chat was pathetic, never seen and tasted that boring chat. Rest of the entrees were quantity heavy but very greasy. IDK what's the hype about?

A very happening joint in downtown Sugarland in the heart of the city centre.
Excellent ambience, courteous and efficient staff. A bevy of beverages and a good choice of both veg and nonveg options. The food was lip smacking yummy!!. A must visit place when you are in Houston Texas

Everything was fine. Our waiter seemed new, so the service was just okay. It was warm in the restaurant and it's too hot for that.

We visited Mahesh’s Kitchen after seeing the high ratings and great reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.

🔹 Ambience & Hygiene:
The first red flag was the hygiene—the plates and glasses had a strong fishy smell, which made even drinking water unpleasant.

🔹 Starters:
• Sheekh Kebab: Inedible due to a bad smell.
• Lasooni Chicken: Fairly average, 6/10.
• Surmai Fry: A big disappointment—the fish didn’t taste fresh at all.
When we brought this to the manager’s attention, we were met with excuses instead of concern or a solution. Very poor handling of feedback.

🔹 Main Course:
• Naan & Rotis: Fresh and well made.
• Butter 0
• Malai 0
• Chicken Amritsari: The only standout, 8/10

🔹 Desserts:
• Mango Firni & Gulab Jamun: Both were good and ended the meal on a better note.

❌ Final Verdict:
Disappointed overall. Poor hygiene, lackluster food (except one or two items), and unsatisfactory customer service. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and won’t be visiting again.

I went last night with my family to Mahesh's Kitchen and had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. The drinks tasted great. The service was top notch

Our server was Anusha. We are not real familiar with Indian food. Anusha made great suggestions for us which made the food experience fantastic. She was very nice and we really appreciated her help.

We would highly recommend Mahesh's Kitchen!

Our waiter was great and the only reason I gave the service less than a perfect rating was the bar took forever to make our drinks. We could see them and they were not Mixing but standing around for awhile.

My wife and I had an amazing dining experience at Mahesh's kitchen. Everything was impeccable from start to finish. The server was attentive, the food was exceptional. and the cocktails were crafted to perfection. For appetizers, we indulged in the Pani Puri, Town Center Samosa and Khekada Bhaji - all bursting with flavor. Our main courses, Aloo Gobi and Lamb Vindaloo were hot and cooked to perfection. We especially appreciated the option to customize the spice level to your liking. It was truly a memorable evening, and we can't wait to return!

Indian food is just delicious - some of the best around. Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Chettinad, lemon rice, plain naan and garlic naan. Only complaints are the wines by the glass. No great choices and white tasted like vinegar. Served did change to a Chardonnay but still not good. Will skip next time. Also severs all sitting around bar, folding napkins, using free tables for office work etc. Just doesn't look great and off-putting if you want a drink at bar before dinner. Will still be back as food so good.

I have frequented Maheshs Kitchen multiple times. However never again. The customer service has gone downhill. I felt like I was ordering food at a fast food franchise. The waiter that served us , took our orders like we were being interogated at Guantanoma Bay. Absolutely zero soft skills. When he finally brought our food he hit my head while placing one of the trays and pretended not to notice. I had to call him out on it for him to apologise , even then it was like a dumb apology like oh the curtain was in the way. I feel bad I wasted money at this establishment. A meal at Burger king would have been far better in terms of service and way cheaper on my wallet.
