Our family have dined here several times since they opened .1st time to order the three pepper beaten duck. It was flavorful. BUT the amount of boney duck meat served was unreasonable. Barely any meat . It was less than a bite size . I'd say maybe LESS THAN a cup of serving? $18.99?? We had more discarded duck bones. So disappointing.
So overpriced for that small serving of scrapped duck meat prolly left over from the tea smoked duck . Sorry Mala Bistro That dish was a ripped off.

Limited seating and halal menu is on select days (Fri-Tue). The chilli oil on dishes will clear your sinus. I could snack on the spicy chicken and beef all day. Even the leftover food that i took home tasted great the next day.

Since they started their Halal Menu I cannot get enough of their food. Really authentic sichuan food and Mala spice is to die for. Kind of like having readymade Hot pot meal ! Staff are always working hard to provide good service. It's become one of my local go to places.

If you haven’t had the Cumin Lamb at Mala Sichuan, you’re seriously missing out. It’s smoky, spicy, and just magical. And the Dan Dan Noodles are amazing with a little heat, like a warm hug with a punch. The whole menu? Rock solid. Service? Top-notch. You walk in hungry, you’ll definitely leave happy. Maybe a little sleepy too 😁
Parking: When you’re done eating, walk into Jusgo next door and get the Propitious Mango Ice cream.

Mala Sichuan Bistro is truly a gem in Sugar Land, TX. Came here and try it. We had to come here twice in a row because I could not stop thinking about them. We tried their spicy and crisp chicken,hot & sour soup,water boiled fish and fried rice. All employees were friendly and attentive to their guests.Even though the busy weekend , their employees try to seat you as fast as possible. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Sugar Land area.
Authentic Sichuan cuisine in town. The service is very fantastic. I love how the staff handle their customer service and and the portion of the meal is really great. Highly recommended!

This is our favorite Sichuan restaurant every since it opened several years ago. The food always comes out hot and delicious. We keep ordering over and over again the following dishes because they are so good: salt and pepper spare ribs, Mongolian beef and sauteed cabbage in sweet and sour sauce. We've also had mapo tofu and some lomein dishes. Lynn is our favorite waitress. She is so sweet and efficient! The restaurant should hire more servers so that she and the other waitress wouldn't have to work so hard.

Wow!!!I really don't know where to start!!! A friend and I came here late after working 14 hour shift at hospital. We arrived at 915pm and they close at 10pm. We knew our time was limited but we were starving! Upon our arrival we were greeted with smiles. I asked if we would still get fresh food since it was almost closing. The hostess laughed and said " Of course you will!" Well yall!!! She didn't lie! My friend and I ordered 4 dishes total...crispy basil chicken, greenbeans with garlic, garlic pork and I tried something different listed under ""Organ" meat!!! It's a traditional Sichuan dish of fried intestine with big chunks of garlic and jalapeños. This peppers and green onions I can't remember the name of the dish (on menu under ORGAN)but this was AMAZING!!!!! I was trying something different and OMG the lightest crispness most delicious dish EVER! 10 out of 10! The crispness of the basil chicken so hot and fresh I had to wait 5 minutes to eat it! And it tastes so good!!!! The garlic pork and greenbeans just amazing. Temperature HOT and steaming fresh and so much flavor .. absolute PERFECTION! The waitress kept coming back to make sure we didn't need anything else and to keep our drinks full without us having to ask! This place is a GEM! They will definitely be seeing more of me! Great date place..cozy, comfortable enviroment...one can easily have conversation without yelling. Dimmed lights and great furniture! I'm ready for another visit!!!!!
