Original cream puffs are so good! First tried when my neighbor dropped off and now buy them for events like baby showers and birthday parties - they are always a hit!

This has been on my go-to list for a couple months and my friend picked up some for me! I tried their mochi and cream puffs - I really enjoyed both!Mochi: I have had mochi that was better but this may be the best in Houston - very chewy and soft with plentiful filling. I do think the mochi shell could be thinner. The flavors I enjoyed were durian (SO flavorful), irish coffee (!!), black sesame. I personally found the red bean and ube too mild but I also had these later in the day when not as fresh. Fresh strawberry mochi means they put an actual whole strawberry in the mochi - not that the filling is fresh strawberry (just fyi). $12 for half dozen ($1.5 for durian)Cream puff: My favorite in Houston (I haven't had many in Houston but still). Super generous filling. They aren't too big. My favorites included ganache chocolate and cookies and cream. Durian and strawberry were mild to me. $15 for half dozenMy friends loved the cream puffs the most - I think I loved the coffee mochi the most!Packaging is so cute and they have a plastic lining in the box in case the box gets soggy (which happened to ours).

It's located inside on one of the shops in the Jusgo Supermarket, which is near Daiso and 99 Ranch Market. Some of the mochi are kept in the cool case and others sat on trays on the counter. The fresh persimmon (seasonal, extra 50 cents) was the most yummy and is highly recommended. It's 1/4 of a sweet and ripe fuyu inside a mochi. The Korean Shine Muscat (seasonal, extra 50 cents) was large, slightly juicy and slightly sweet. It was nice to try, but I wouldn't purchase it again since it does cost more and wasn't as yummy as the others. Of the classic flavors, I thought the peanut was unique as the mochi was tan and is filled with sugar, white sesame seeds and crushed peanuts. It reminded me of sticky rice with sugar and peanuts. I love a good oolong tea but found the creamy filling to be bitter. It may taste better if it was accompanied by tea. I was looking forward to the black sesame, but I found it to be slightly bitter and less sweet than expected. It has a roasted flavor and creamy texture. I don't recommend getting too many if you can't finish them that day or if you think you'll refrigerate them as the mochi gets tough afterwards. If you let it sit outside for 30 minutes after refrigeration, it's like eating a tough rice cake (edible but not soft). They may taste okay if you keep them outside, but since I had some fruit ones, I'd rather refrigerate them. The gingerbread choux looked really cute with its mini gingerbread man. They were selling small homemade butter cookies in cute holiday themed plastic zip bags (Santa, reindeer). The staff were nice. I asked for a plastic knife to cut the mochi in half. There's some seats and tables available if you decide to snack in the store.

Tucked inside jusgo, this place is a hidden gem ! The cream puffs have great texture with the crunchy topping & the cream itself is not too sweet. My favs are the strawberry & matcha. I also really enjoy the mochi. You can tell they're made fresh & they always pick the juiciest fruits to go inside. The perfect sweet treat after grocery shopping !

Love their cream puff and mochi so much! The flavors are always creative and rich-full. I definitely will go for their lavender and fruity ones.

4.3/5 The mochi texture here is so good, but the fillings can be hit or miss. The fruity fillings tend to be good, but you make the risk of getting a sour fruit. The cream puffs are airy and not too sweet. A perfect balance. Will return!
