At first it was strange to understand what kind of restaurant this was based on their menu. It seemed like there was a mix of identities with Vietnamese and Teochew Chinese.1. The banh mi beef shank was decent from the bread that was used to the portions of beef and pickled vegetables. The beef was covered in sauce but strangely the sauce was a little bland. I just wished the beef stood out more in terms of flavors. If they would just add more seasoning then it would be well rounded.2. The Kway Teow was okay. It was slightly more bland than what I’m used to. What was missing here for me was the quality of the meat. The chicken was dry. But the shrimp was extremely dry.3. The Wan Tan Ho sauce wasn’t bad. I didn’t mind it but my wife didn’t like it at all. Again the shrimp texture was all wrong. It felt like it’d been sitting in water all day and was a little rubbery but falling apart.4. The Fried Rice cake need pickle radish. The rice cake needs to be smaller and I’m used to it fried with egg and like a pancake. The sauce needed to be more tart and punchy. Again too bland.Overall you want a new restaurant to succeed. I hope they work on improving the meat quality so that more customers will stay.

I felt absolutely welcomed when I walked in. I ordered salt and pepper tofu/ pickled cucumbers and a cold mixed meat bahn mi. The tofu was soft, but crispy. A ton of flavor plus the amount of veggies (onion/ garlic/ green onion) was great. The pickled cucumbers had me wanting more after I finished them. They had such great flavor, but also that nice crisp that comes with fresh vegetables. The bahn mi was exploding with flavor and was hot when it came out. I was greet by such a sweet lady and the chef came out to make sure my order was right and that I was enjoying it. This is for sure a weekly spot that we’ll come back to from now on.

Deee-licious! I've never had a Mongolian Beef Banh-Mi before, and I really enjoyed all the extra veggies on there. The sandwiches were pretty large; I thought I would only eat half but it was so good, I finished it all. The shop is located inside the Jusgo. It's a fast casual spot with limited seating. Everything is made only after you order, and the owner and his wife were very friendly.

New Saigon Kitchen is an excellent hidden gem located inside of JUSGO Supermarket in Sugar Land, TX. I came here for the first time shortly after it opened and I have been coming back ever since.First of all, the Bánh Mì is incredibly delicious! I have had three different bánh mì so far. The Bò Mông Cổ (Mongolian Beef), Phi Lê Cá Chiên (Fried Fish Filet), and Đậu phụ (Tofu). I loved every single one of them. I haven’t even been able to move beyond the bánh mì, to try anything else, because they are so good. These bánh mì are all packed with flavor. The tofu in particular is exceptionally savory and very well seasoned. There is a peppery taste to these bánh mì that I do not recall tasting at other places, I’ve been. It’s a very unique taste to me and really makes the bánh mì stand out. The Fried Fish Fillet was new to me in a bánh mì án I love it. I’ve ordered one every time I go.I cannot say enough about the service. Every time I go there I am greeted with a smile and feel very welcomed. I am biased because the chef and his wife who works up front allow me to practice my tiếng việt when I order and always have patience with me. Sam, the chef has very interesting insights about the cuisine and has a genuine interest in his customers. The ambiance is very simple but suits the cuisine and location well. I like to sit on a stool inside and listen to the sounds of the kitchen or sometimes on the tables outside of the front door.If you want to eat some wonderful food and support a local business and business owner, this is a great place to do that.

I saw "Teochew" and noodles written all over the menu, and immediately wondered if it would be more Thai, Malay, or Singaporean style, or maybe even like something from Taiwan/Fujian. It is decidedly a Singapore flavor. Though it's an entirely different menu than the lost Singapore Cafe, the Satay Rice Noodles do scratch the Teochew itch.

Small quaint place in the Jusco market next to Mamak. Tasty food run by two very hospitable individuals. It's a small place with big flavors. We had the Satay Noodle and Shaking Tofu, both very good. Definitely worth a try. Also, if you like it more spicy ask for the chili oil and picked peppers.

We had the braised beef noodle soup and lemongrass beef banh mi. The owner was really nice and friendly, and the portions are big. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick bite to eat at Jusgo.
