I went to diner on 7/13/25, the older asian man gave himeself a tip without asking me. I told him that I was not ok with him tipping himself without my consent, I told him that I was going to leave a cash tip. He was not attentive, did not ask us for water refills, food was expensive and low quality. 35$ for 2 bahn mi and 1 pho soup. Makes me think that the restaurant is not doing well financially.

CHECK YOUR TIPS. The food was great, I got the spicy beef pho and it was honestly delicious. Also tried the beef and broccoli which was so good. The lower rating comes from the slow cook times, we waited over 30 mins which is wild for pho. The bathrooms were not clean and smelled bad. They gave us one napkin each. What really did me over was the guy tipped himself! I thought it was strange that I wasn’t given an option to tip but when I checked my receipt I saw that he tipped himself 15%. I didn’t see anything on the menu stating that tip was included, and I honestly would’ve probably tipped the same amount but I just don’t like that he did it himself without asking me first. Others in my party had the same thing happen to them.

We had vegetable spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls, chicken noodle pho, grilled chicken salad, chicken pot, and stir fry combo.
Pho was great. Spring rolls were good. Rest was just ok.

The owners were VERY rude! The restaurant closes at 10 PM my friend and I arrived at 9:30 PM. The doors were not locked, however the manager had a very angry face. We asked him if something was wrong, he replied “WE ARE ABOUT TO CLOSE”. I said “Okay, would you like us to leave?” He said we can order to go. If he didn’t want to accept anymore customers, he should’ve locked the doors. My friend and I found another place, we left.

I stopped in for lunch and had the Shaking Beef with fried rice. The beef was tough, not very tender so it took a while to chew each piece. The sauce was extra salty. The rice was hard like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp drying out. On average, I’ve paid between $15-20 for this exact dish at various Vietnamese restaurants throughout the Houston area. I was charged $25 and I am disappointed to report that I didn’t really care for it. If it was fantastic, I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price, but unfortunately for me, that was not the case and I do not plan to return as the quality of food does not equate to the rate they charge. I can’t justify paying $30 for a simple lunch in this economy.
Go here for the food and ignore the service. The pho always hits the spot!
