Warning! Do not order the red fish and potatoes! This has to be the worst dish I have ever had eating out at any restaurant. First of all, the fish was fishy and secondly, the fish and potatoes had no flavor at all (bland). Third, there were tons of small pieces of sausage all over the top which made no sense and did not add to this already horrible dish anyway… for $38 go elsewhere! I shared my feedback with the manager on duty who stated a new chef recently came in and revamped the menu smh it was better before the changes…

Went here for my wife’s and I last date night out for the next 6 months before the birth of our child. The crab cakes were absolutely horrible. 23 bucks for 2 very small cakes. It tasted like wet dog or mildew. Our entrees took longer than 30 minutes and this place was not busy. I ordered a drink that took 20 minutes to get. I had to ask a lady cleaning tables to find our waitress. We dined in on 8/31/25 at 7ish. It’s safe to say that we will not be going back to State Fare.

First off they put us in a booth for 4 to accommodate a bday party of 6. Although I had a reservation for over a week. The restaurant was empty. We went because they had live music but the guy playing the music was beside the front door behind a wall so you couldn't see him or even notice he was playing. We ordered The restaurant week menu l, flank steak with chimichurri and my plate didnt have the chimichurri and my friends plate was like a prime rib or something, all fat. We ordered alcohol drinks and when we got the bill , we were charged for the drink and then they added an additional $2 for each cocktail?? Our table was never cleared , our bday photos was full of dirty dishes. We kept having to stack them. Our appetizer board/ plates stayed the entire 2 hour dinner. We wanted to support the restaurant but the food and service was sub par and none of us will return. Very unfortunate.

The food was ok but definitely not for the price. It only 2 of us and the bill was over 75.00 plus a tip it was almost 100 bucks for 2 people t eat mediocre food. Definitely better places to go in that price range in my opinion and we eat everywhere from food trucks to high end restaurants. This just was not it for the price.

WORST MISTAKE. No staff, no service, 2 hours for lunch, clueless server, and no drinks. I took my dad on his 81st bday 2 days ago to lunch here because a while back I loved the food I had tried. So I gave it a go ON HIS BDAY! Oh my gosh awful. I would be embarrassed to work there, to own it, or to have your doors open. This is a concerning situation to think we could call this place a restaurant.

No host. So I waited 15 mins till someone came up to me. The waiter never took our order for 45 mins. The waiter didn’t know the ingredients in anything I asked. The waiter never brought our drinks till during our meal which was delivered at the 70 mins mark. Mind you there was only one other table there. Oddly, the table that was there got there AFTER US and already had their meal and drink, while we had nothing. It was so awkward. We noticed the waiters had no busser so that happened in front of us for an hour. We had to ask for our food after an hour. We had to ask for our drinks after an hour. We had to ask if there was a dessert menu realizing this place was going to take forever. I had secretly told the waiter it was my dad’s bday - and he still said it out loud that we would get a dessert on the house …I didn’t even know that - great (!) but why share!!?! I had already shared to just process whatever we can do to make it great. But whatever. My poor dad was graceful but the fact that we were non existent, sitting in the center booth with this waiter passing us 1000x bc of all the cleaning, receipts, and hosting to whatever random arrivals came in - I was dying to talk with someone who cared but I could tell no one cared and I could tell the guys in the back were embarrassed with their reality. They looked triggered and worked. It was a terrible choice and if I could tell this place to shut down in person I would. The food was exceptional. But with what it took to get the food, forget it.
