I ordered their red curry lunch special for the first time. I spent $14 and the take out process only took 15 minutes, which was pleasant. Beware if you order ahead of time over the phone the owner takes your card information, so you have to prepay for your order. Overall, food was okay. The lunch special came with a choice of soup or salad and a vegetable spring roll. I chose the Tom Kha soup, which was alright and nothing special as it was definitely missing something. I think the cook didn’t use fresh enough lemongrass for the soup. The spring roll was soggy by the time I got to eating so I can’t say if it’s on them or me, and the red curry was spicy but, again was missing something. There wasn’t enough of that red curry sauce or paste flavor. I couldn’t taste any flavor other than Thai red chilis. I would order here again but maybe try something different.I wouldn’t say this place is authentic as I’ve been to Thailand and eat Thai food on a weekly basis.

I’m sorry but the Tom Kha soup is terrible and tasted nothing like any authentic Thai coconut soup I’ve had anywhere else. I literally stopped eating it to write this review. There was no slightly sweet coconut flavor whatsoever, in fact the only flavor was a sourness along with the chili spice they used. The “vegetables” in the soup weren’t even edible. Every time I took a bite I had to pull something out of my mouth and put it to the side because I couldn’t chew it.It looks like they just put the shells/skins of bamboo shoots or the stalks of lemongrass in the soup and called them vegetables. Whatever these things were it was impossible to avoid picking them up on the spoon.Unfortunately I ordered this using DoorDash so I can’t do anything about it or get my money back; I’m so disappointed.

The BEST & MOST AUTHENTIC Thai food in the area! Delicious food and John provided excellent customer service! Hole in the wall located inside Gridiron Bar & Grill. Highly recommend, so glad we found our new spot! The only thing is that they don't have sticky rice, but everything was still amazing! We ordered Thai Beef Jerky, Pad See Ew, Papaya Salad, Chicken Larb, and Mango Sticky Rice.

Literally threw away the food… I ordered spicy shrimp fried rice and they put a big fried egg on top like they forgot to scramble it in. They got 2 stars because they gave us our pineapple fried rice in a pineapple although we threw it away too lol

Super disappointing thai food. We order Thai regularly from various places and have never had food like this. We ordered panang curry, red curry, drunken noodles and pad thai. None of it tasted anything like actual Thai food, instead everything had a weird super sweet or spicy flavor.

First experience at this restaurant. Food was great and order more to go. The best part was to enjoy the service from Kasie. She was awesome and on top of my order. I would definitely come back when she is here. Been to several bars in sugarland and experiences hasn't been the same. She was on top of everything for the evening I was there. Chill place to have a drink and food.

Everything we ordered was fresh, authentic, and delicious! We ordered online using the restaurant website and everything was perfect. The spice level was perfect for my crew.

Looking for delicious Thai food! Look no more Straight out of Bangkok Is the best hands down! Great flavor and large portions! Great customer service and attended to promptly! Definitely a must try!

The beef satay flavor was on point, very small portion though. The Tom yum was basically chicken soup with some lime and mushrooms. It lacked lemongrass flavor and there were large celery chunks in it which completely overpowered the Tom yum broth. Celery does not belong in Tom yum . The soup in itself didn't taste bad, it was just very disappointing. I asked for 5/5 spice on 2/3 of the things that I ordered and they delivered, so kudos for that. We also ordered pad kee mao and not all of the noodles were coated in sauce. It lacked a traditional basil flavor and flavor in general. This restaurant is definitely not straight out of Bangkok. If you're expecting authentic, you'll be disappointed. If you're an average farang, then you'll probably like it. I would be willing to give it another try, maybe a curry this time.

I LOVE this place. Best Thai food in the area by far. The atmosphere is a normal suburban sports bar, but the kitchen is phenomenal. Would not expect it to deliver such good food. Everything is fresh and seasoned properly. Be careful when ordering spice in the curry, it is seriously spicy...and delicious!

I was surprised this place had such poor reviews. I love their pad thai with extra shrimp. My husband greatly enjoys the drunken noodles.

Amazing fresh Thai food! I really enjoyed all the delicious balance of flavors and the freshness in every dish. I ordered the Nam Tok (5 stars), Fish cake (authentic and perfectly balanced), Tom Kha (spicy and perfect). I ordered UBER but will now order direct from the restaurant.
