One of the best places in Sugarland. Great live music, wonderful and kind staff, great ambiance, and a good menu! I highly recommend it.

I don’t even know where to begin….This place literally need to close their doors , go back to school/training and try againthis was my second horrible experience at this place. i don’t even know how they are still open. This is a promise,I will never come back. there is nothing the manager,owner, coordinator etc can say that will have me return here ever again.i let them make it on the first visit because i was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt trying to support a black owned establishment. i cant.the things that I want to share with you are all ugly and my grandma taught me if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. if you choose to come here, i pray your experience is better than mine.

This was an experience I will never ever experience again. The service was horrible, my food was mediocre for what I paid, my friend ordered seafood platter no ketchup how do you eat fried fish, shrimp with no ketchup. We waited 2 hours to be seated with reservation.

I gave the roof Mgr a deposit for 250.00 for a banquet room but cxld....the next day for rsvp reasons they would not refund my money causing a hardship they did not tell me in writing or verbally that they keep all deposits so please be aware that if you give them money for a rm hold they will keep your deposit they pretend to not know where the register receipt were I left msgs they never called back they are very bad with providing accommodations the hostess there is not customer service oriented and the staff is unprofessional buyer beware.

Came for a birthday dinner at 8:00pm it is now 9:54pm and not one drink have been served no appetizers has been served. Then on top of that the waiter had to retake all the orders again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They want charge high price but the service sucks big time. 2 ? down.

The ambiance was inviting immediately set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The staff was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, providing valuable recommendations. The shrimp and grits were a savory goodness and the presentation was appetizing. The lobster tails were fried to perfection. I was part of a large party and we weren't timely but you guys showed us grace and made everything workout .I want to commend the waitstaff for their great service. I will undoubtedly be returning. You've gained a loyal customer.

My recent dining experience at The Roof for my aunt's 67th birthday was extremely disappointing. The service was appalling, with the waiter displaying rudeness throughout the evening, even raising his voice at my aunt while she was deciding on a drink. It took an unacceptable 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, only to find them subpar. When we requested replacements, we were told they couldn't be exchanged, a policy I found absurd. The appetizers arrived 45 minutes late and were cold, not resembling what was described on the menu. Disheartened by the drinks and appetizers, I refrained from ordering anything else. The entrees took nearly an hour and were served unevenly. When my aunt's friend received undercooked broccoli, the waiter rudely dismissed her concerns. Moreover, the waiter left his order pad and tip money at our table, oblivious to its absence until we brought it to the manager's attention. Shockingly, neither the owner nor the manager offered any apologies or addressed our grievances. I cannot recommend this restaurant and have no intention of returning.

The service was awful to say it was empty, and the food had no seasoning. The waiter had an attitude, we complained to the manager and nothing was done about it. We ordered a drink with champagne in it there were no bubbles meaning the champagne was flat. We sent the drink back and we were charged for the drink. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
The kitchen brought us fried chicken that was raw and had blood in it. Then the staff showed poor customer service in repairing the situation. They of course said that we could order something else, but I would've expected some compensation outside of obviously not charging us for the raw food (possibly a drink or dessert for free). And when I asked for something to be complimentary due to the poor service, they said no and also charged us a 20% gratuity fee which goes against what is on their site which says: “Gratuity: 20% gratuity is required on all groups of 6 or more.” This was an incredibly poor experience and I would never go back to this establishment.

We went on a Sunday for 12:30..my husband did have to make a reservation..once we got there..it was 3 other tables with people..making us the 4th table..just FYI it's more of a bayou than a lake..for it to be only 4 tables with people our food took waaaaay too long to come out..the linen on the table were extremely wrinkled & just thrown on the table..there was no live music..I don't know why, I kind of don't care..when i go out to eat..i stick to what i know so someone cant mess it up..I ordered the fried Lobster Benedict with a side of grits (please add butter to the grits) & it was amazing..it was soo good..the drinks were good..but I only had one..my husband definitely liked his plate..the other 2 people we were with did not like there food..one had Lamb Chops and mash potatoes (she said the m.p. smelled & tasted spoiled) & the other had chicken & waffles..they did not like the food at all..ohhhh & it's a bit pricey for 2 people..which my husband & his friend said for what we got..it was not worth the price they charged us..

It was the live music for me. Omg she was fantastic. Friday date night was lit. The artist was definitely a beautiful addition, and the food and drinks were fantastic. Easy roof parking and very kind service. Thanks for the experience. Let me know when the artist will be back, please. Every song on her instrument was recognizable. We really enjoyed ourselves. My only complaint was that everything my man wanted was not available. His cognac and / or his beer.

The website says for brunch there is a brunch buffet. That's the main reason why I came and when I get there I was told the buffet went away two years ago do to covid but they have not updated the website. I was there with three other people and we were charged $100 gratuity. The pictures showed a nice view of the lake when eating on the roof and when I got there the lake looks more like the dirty water from braes bayou. I don't feel like for the price you are giving enough food.
