I was so excited to eat here however I ordered chicken it was sooo dry I could not chew and swallow it. I went there at 11:00 am on a friday thinking that food would be fresh. It seemed like it was old chicken that stayed in warmer too long the day before and rewarmed and served the next day. I am so disappointed being my first visit. Unsure to give it another try in the evening maybe the old food will be gone.

Beautiful establishment! ? Great food! Great vibes! Great service! B.O.B! ?? Plenty of parking! Excellent location! And Live entertainment weekly makes this a great choice for date nights , events, and dancing! I loooooooved that they have open walls so the natural air and breeze was flowing through the place all night! We will definitely make this one of our go to spots in the Sugarland / First Colony Mall area.

Nestled in the heart of Sugar Land is more than just a Black Owned BBQ joint; it's a cultural experience. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in the warm, soulful ambiance. The walls are adorned with vibrant artwork celebrating African American heritage, and the air is filled with the rhythmic beats of music, setting the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The menu is a testament to Southern comfort food at its finest, with mouthwatering BBQ ribs, tender pulled pork, and smoky brisket that practically melts in your mouth. Each dish is crafted with care, honoring traditional recipes passed down through generations, yet infused with the chef's own innovative twists. But what truly sets Williams Smokehouse apart is its sense of community. It's not just a place to eat; it's a gathering spot for friends, family, and neighbors to come together and celebrate life over a plate of delicious food. The staff welcomes you like old friends, adding to the inviting atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back time and time again. And let's not forget about the dessert. The strawberry cheesecake is nothing short of divine. Each bite is a heavenly combination of creamy cheesecake, fresh strawberries, and a buttery graham cracker crust, leaving you craving more with every forkful. In essence this spot is more than just a restaurant; it's a cultural institution family so whether you're a BBQ aficionado or just looking for a place to unwind and enjoy great company, Williams Smokehouse is an experience you won't soon forget.

+Service: prompt, cheerful, attentive! My bartender made delicious drinks and my waiter was extremely helpful with seating choice and food selection.+Atmosphere: It has a good range of places to sit (at the bar, outside, indoors). Live music begins at 8 or 9 (can't recall). Great lighting. Open patio. Nice vibes. Clean bathrooms and restaurant. TVs around. Nice decor!-Food: I ordered a lemon drop, brisket, pork ribs, mac and cheese, fries, and coleslaw. I was disappointed by all except the lemon drop.I asked for the brisket to be cooked moist but trim the fat. I received DRRYY, lean cuts. I took a could bites, chewed unhappily, and sent it back for the moist. The moist was as expected in that it was tender and moist, but it lacked flavor. The pork ribs were tender and tasty but didn't taste smoked. Also, there were a bit on the slim side for the price. The cole slaw was fine. The fries were lukewarm and not great. The mac and cheese also lacked flavor, but at this point, I stopped picking at my food and packed up the meat. I only took the food because it was so costly. Else, I would've left it. I still haven't brought myself to eat the leftovers.I want this place to be successful. However, it's overpriced and lacks the flavor. They MAY survive if they really play to their strengths with the drinks, service, and entertainment because food is an absolute no.I would try a happy hour there and listen to the band to support in a way, but I won't eat there again. I'm so sorry.
