Great coffee beans and a great experience when buying them. I gave up on trying to make good espresso at home years ago after too many frustrations, but recently decided to try it again. I wasted so many beans it's not even funny. I followed all the steps until I finally realized I either need to try some proven beans, need help from someone who knows what they are doing, or both. After reading the great reviews, I drove to Zelie hoping I'd be able to get just that, and that's exactly what I got. Joseph really is as awesome as the other reviews state. He showed me around the shop and gave me some great advice. He happily answered all my dumb questions and also taught me about the process of coffee beans from pant to coffee pot. And at the end of it all, I came home and finally was able to dial in great tasting espresso shots. The beans really do make a massive difference, and the Evelyn's Espresso Blend beans are forgiving and easier to dial in than anything I had used before. The cherry on top is this is a local small business and one that you can feel good about supporting.

Great experience at Zelies! And the coffee?? Soo good. I purchased the salvadorian and guatemalan mix coffee beans, and had them grinded there! Bought this while my husband was on a trip and when he came back I told him “you have to try this coffee” his first impression was “oh wow” . About to finish my first bag and will be back for more!

Have to share about this coffee roaster/shop in Sugar Land. Tucked into the corner of the plaza is this gem. Joseph the owner is a joy and an abundance of knowledge. They roast their own beans. Offer a select amount of drinks specials. They offer coffee brewing supplies and sell all their roasted beans on site. So happy to have found this gem, right in my neighborhood. Shop local!!!!! Check them out!

I discovered Zellie's through a teacher of mine who said it was a wonderful coffee shop near his home. What I discovered was much more. The owner Joseph is a very personable caring owner that will make you an excellent cup of coffee but I didn't realize he also roasts his own beans as part of his business with a great mission behind it. I bought a bag of the Evelyn Espresso beans and they were the best beans I have ever sampled. I have been a loyal customer ever since. I moved from the area last year but was happy to know I can order them online and they arrive within a few days keeping my coffee habit and espresso machine happy. I admit I do miss stopping by the store for great conversation. I highly recommend Joseph's coffee beans and feel all the much better that it supports a great mission. Thanks Joseph.

This is perhaps the best coffee shop I’ve visited. But be aware: it’s not a grab and go. It’s a place to call home. Joseph, the owner, is among the nicest and thoughtful baristas I’ve met. He is generous and genuine. I’ll be coming back for the rest of my life.
