Hidden Gem in Sweeny Stopped in at Dark Roast Co. I tried their iced Irish cream coffee with whipped cream, smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness.
But the real star? The boudin grilled cheese. 🔥 Perfectly toasted, packed with flavor, and paired with Lay's kettle jalapeño chips. Honestly, one of the best grilled sandwiches I've had in a while.
Friendly service, and fast Wi-Fi - I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast 6/23/25 at 9 am. Ordered the croissant with turkey egg and provolone cheese and this sandwich did not disappoint. We ate there and it was a pleasant coffee shop atmosphere. Asked for a smoothie and the lady working there prepared an amazing Caribbean smoothie...one of the best that I've had. To the ladies working this morning thanks for everything!

Met there with a friend from out of town to give it a try. When I arrived, one lady was sitting outside on her phone, the other inside, behind the counter on her phone. No other customers were there. I looked at the menu for a bit. The lady who was outside came in and walked behind the counter. I walked over to face them to ask how they make a certain coffee. The lady from outside begins to talk, and smoke comes out of her mouth as she is talking. We decided to go ahead and order our coffee. Her coffee wasn't good. Mine was just regular coffee with a shot of espresso. As we start to sit, I pull out my chair with crumbs on it and on the floor. We begin to clean up after her children and see how messy the floors are throughout the place. Not a good experience. We won't be back.

I've eaten about everything on the menu and not once have I have anything to complain about. I never had to wait a long period of time for me order. I have never had my order screwed up, and my wife and I are not happy campers on that so keep up the great job guys. For those who may not have experience the food at Dark Roast check it for yourself. You will not regret it.
The boudin kolache, burgers, panin sandwiches, etc. are all good. Stop by and grab a Frapp, Latte, etc., you will not be disappointed. They also deliver.
