Whataburgers are a Texas icon and readily available, but this small restaurant in Taft stands out for us. Always spotless clean inside and out. Fast friendly service and the food is always fresh and hot, even looks like the pictures on the windows. Don’t often do fast-food but when you’re hankering for a burger and fries, this Whataburger stands out!

Food is fine but waited in the drive through 30min when only 2 cars were infront of me, then lady at window didn’t listen to my order so fry sizes were wrong then burgers were wrong and drinks mixed up.

We pulled into this location right before the storm hit on 11/1/25. We had just ordered our food when the storm hit! Every employee did a fantastic job making sure all customers were safe and calm. A lady came in with a cut on her leg from glass breaking in her car and the employees got her supplies from the first aid kit to wrap her wounds. These employees went above and beyond for us! After the storm passed and electricity was restored they finished making our food and taking orders. Before we left they were out in parking lot picking up debris and helping with people’s cars. Great job to these employees!

I don't get it. Yes whataburger very popular. But I guess since this family are cooks. The advertising does not even get close to the look of the burger you order. Have been disappointed so many times and all locations. Thats why very rarely get whataburger.

Work in taft so im there 5-6 days a week and this is hands down by far the best whataburger in the area and its not even close food is always hot and fresh and its the same employees everyday and they are the best

WAY TOO SLOW. Takes me 10 minutes to get breakfast when I'm the only one in line at 5am. Just ridiculous.

Ordered shakes, 6th in line at drive thru at the window after long wait, shakes melted, remade and made the wrong flavors, plus simply nasty tasting like the smell of dirty socks. These shakes ($8.50) were thrown away due to being nasty. Emailed whataburger twice online, manager called back. Was argumentative, poor Form. Said all he could do was for us the customer to come back (we don't live there) and he would remake them a 3rd time. (Practice makes perfect). That's not a viable solution, but has now caused us and others to go elsewhere, as long as it is not whataburger due to poor customer service, response and sub par product we received. We do NOT recommend this location in Taft Texas

We recently drove through Taft, Texas twice in two days. The hamburgers the 1st day were so good, it looks us back to the great food and service of 30 years ago at Whataburger. We purposely stopped at the same location the next day for breakfast on the buns. Outstanding! The food was wonderful, the little lady at the window was so friendly, genuine and courteous. We will go out of our way to return to Taft Whataburger anytime we get near that part of the country. Good Job to the folks who run and hire for this store!!!!!
