Food is very flavorful. Burnt ends weren't really burnt, which is good, but the char on them is incredibly delicious! I was hoping for a larger portion size, but times are tough. I will definitely be coming back.
Tourist here. Stopped in on our way to Austin. Staff was super kind and helpful. We had a beef rib, brisket, and burnt ends with slaw and potato salad. The rib was big, but mostly gristle. Despite this, the parts that were edible on the Rib were succulent and delicious. It was a bit more salty than to my liking, but it was fine. About 2 pounds; recommend sharing due to size and expense. For this visit, we actually liked the burnt ends the best. The brisket was just okay, but nothing...
Louie Mueller sets the standard for BBQ. Had the brisket today and it was fabulously tasty and moist. The staff treats you like family and the atmosphere? Well it is located in an old building with aspects that are evidence of the buildings history. The walls tell the story of times gone by. Wayne Mueller is the man!
