I have always liked this place but my last visit was not good. The food was over cooked and just not that good and the service wasn't that great. If you want Lucy's go to the original in Elgin.

Food was bad, waitress was a grump, and I will not go back. A simple burger is all I ordered. Burger pattie tasted like a frozen pattie straight from the microwave, onions were old and stale, and the fries were bland and warm at best. If you can't cook a decent burger, you're in trouble.

I like Lucy's and have gone there several times. This visit was the least pleasant of my visits to date. The kitchen was slower than usual and I think that the waitress was a little overrun, even though it was not during a rush.Still, the waitress was very pleasant and accommodating, and did the best that she could.Something was a little off in the kitchen on this visit, as the food was not as significant in portion, and not as hot. The food was also a little bit on what I would call the limp side, probably because it was slow to come out of the kitchen. This experience will not detract from my intentions to return on future occasions.

First time here the food was above-average the service was outstanding will definitely be coming back. My waitress Maria was amazing so yes a 5-star rating.Update: had breakfast there this time, of course Maria is a bright constant there, the breakfast is plentiful and at a great value.
