We were a large crowd of 30. I think they did a good job considering so many of us. I will go and eat independently to get another idea of food value.

Traveled from Orlando to visit family in Austin, Texas while we were driving around, we came across Plowman’s Kitchen. For my first time, I love the vibe and love the way they decorated the restaurant. The food was amazing and enjoyed the service. Andrea the waitress and John the manager were pleasant and gave great lunch options for us to choose. Definitely will be back when we come back next year to visit.

Excellence all around. Great, fresh food, great atmosphere and great service. I highly suggest the carrot cake after your meal.

I ordered the chicken and waffles, Sunday special. 20 mins later they come to tell me they are out of the chicken. Okay thats fine, stuff happens. Not sure why it took so long to let me know but whatever. Ordered the Cuban as a replacement, another 20 mins later I received a very hastily thrown together and soggy sandwich that I did not eat. The server noticed this and had someone come over to apologize and even acknowledged that my food was not on par but did very little to actually make it right. The actual establishment looks quite nice, the people were friendly, but my experience was lacking.

We had Plowman’s on our Bucket List and were super disappointed once we actually made it by! The food took much longer than expected, and when it came out the eggs were very watery, the French Toast was soggy, the bacon was undercooked and the breakfast potatoes were cold. Disappointing, but hopefully we just caught them on a busy Sunday morning. We may try again for lunch another day…

Great sausage, biscuits, and scrambled eggs. Nice place with friendly staff. If you prefer bacon crispy be sure to assert that, might have been a fluke but the batch I saw was a bit floppy, still good though.

This place has zero flavor, everything is bland and forgettable. Even some visitors from work went here and asked why I didn’t warn them. Exactly why I never recommend it! Save your money and your taste buds because this spot just isn’t it. 👎🏼

i’ve been a regular here since i moved back to texas 2 years ago. i wouldn’t say it’s the best ever but it was fine. i’ve definitely gotten ghosted by servers, had 40+ minute ticket times, and one time sweat literally dripped off an employees face onto me. (a person who i think was a cook?) but i never complained one time. i never gave a bad tip- nothing. but they’ve become really aggressively political online AND in the restaurant. i used to like to bring my family or visiting friends here, but we no longer feel safe and welcome. i’m not saying i will only dine at establishments that align with me in every way- but these people are like going out of their way to aggressively, in your FACE- proudly celebrate people who are very cruel, unkind, and hold a lot of racist and bigoted views. i don’t leave a lot of reviews, but i saw a facebook post where the owner woman had created a group for conservative business owners so they can only shop at and network with like minded people. it was so cringe, and after reading that i knew i would not be returning. i only saw the posts today. i wish i saw the posts sooner. it’s a wild choice to alienate so many neighbors and customers. it’s hard enough to thrive in a small town as it is. but yall do you! i won’t be back.
Plowman’s is the definition of comfort food done right! Both times I’ve eaten here, the meals have been warm, and full of that feel good, home cooked vibe. The menu has a great variety, something for everyone, and everything I’ve had tastes great! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Definitely one of those spots you look forward to coming back to. I love how it’s in the old band hall of the school, and enjoyed venturing over to the other businesses in the school. Such a cool atmosphere!

I have eaten everything including Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch,Dinner and catered events. The food is always DELISH. Hot and Fresh. The desserts are all homemade.
Excellent Customer Service and Friendly atmosphere. They make you feel like family. They are also a huge community minded business always giving back and sponsoring events. I love their special events that they host. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would.

My family's been in the food business for over a century here in Taylor Texas. The people that own this restaurant have done a wonderful job with the remodel of the old band hall. The atmosphere is perfect, and more importantly, the food and customer service is outstanding. I've never had a bad experience there!

This restaurant clearly has strong community support, and I respect that. However, from a food standpoint, I found the dishes lacking in taste and seasoning. The atmosphere is welcoming, but the flavors just don’t stand out compared to other places I’ve tried.
I've visited plowman's five times.
