This never fails to disappoint in one way or another. Daily specials are always out. Service has been just mediocre at best. Tables sit empty while people stand waiting to be seated. The atmosphere on the other hand is great. Lots of seating, windows galore, beautifully decorated. If I could sit there and have coffee refilled, it would be worth going in.

Everything was bursting with flavor! I got pulled pork nachos and my husband got fried chicken. Both were delicious. We got a slice of apple pie for dessert and it was delectable, the crust and filling were perfect.
Nice local restaurant in an old school building. Subtly decorated with a few touches of a marching band. Helpful service, even serving my husband's salmon plain and with no salt. My enchiladas were also excellent.

I had takeout from this place and it was really fantastic. Every item we tried was good. My favorite were the brussel sprouts. Absolutely off the hook. Definitely the best brussel sprouts I have had in YEARS. Like, I could not make them this good at home if I tried. Everything we ordered from here was good though, we had sandwiches, biscuits, and a bunch of other stuff, including a salad with beets and goat cheese. I did not set food inside the place because someone else picked up the order so I can't say anything about atmosphere, but the quality of the food at this place really impressed me.

We arrived for dinner at 6:45 and were pleased that the place looked busy but not such as we’d have to wait for a table. The atmosphere and decor is absolutely divine!! The staff were all welcoming and friendly.We started with chips (homemade) and queso. Tasty! I had Mom’s Meatloaf with loaded mashed potatoes (because they were out of baked potatoes) with deviled eggs as a side. I recommend you order the tomato sauce topping for the meatloaf on the side. It was too sweet for my taste but I saw others enjoying it on their meatloaf. My husband got the chicken fried steak with the cowboy caviar which he said was delicious.We ended by sharing a slice of the lemon blueberry pie and, OMG(!!), don’t leave Plowman’s without having dessert!I will be sure to add Plowman’s Kitchen to our rotation of favorite sit down restaurants.
