I first talked to a lady over the phone on 5-3 who said to send an email describing a cake I wanted to order and she asked for my # and said someone would call me the next day. Appx 5 the next day, I called back and spoke to somone else that didn't know what I was talking about. I then verbally described what I wanted and then she found my email and we went over details and I ordered for pick up on 5-6. I was told my cake would be ready any time after 10:30am and I said I should be there by 11. Appx 10:45 as I was about to pull up to the place, they called to say it wouldn't be ready until 11:30 which was putting me in a crunch setting up my mom's 80th surprise BD party. They called back at 11:15 to say it was ready. The lady working the counter wasn't friendly at all then stated they had someone quit and she didn't normally work the front. I quickly got my cake and hurried to get set up for the party. When we finally cut the cake, I was very disappointed to see that the strawberry filling wasn't the normal strawberry filling but more like strawberry frosting. Today, I saw an ad pop up for them on my FB page so I commented that I was disappointed that the filling was a frosting, not the usual filling (which if you just google strawberry filling, you will see exactly what I wanted). Someone replied back that they used white chocolate whipped something and strawberries (which there wasn't a hint of strawberries at all in the cake), not frosting. Before I could respond back, my comment with their reply was deleted. I guess they couldn't handle someone not liking their cake. It was definitely a waste of my money, and I would never recommend them to anyone.

We stopped in on the way to our family's home for Mother's Day. We picked up some cake truffles. Truffles were really good but the girl putting them in the box kept wiping her nose and face with her hand. Then her fingernails and hands were filthy and there was in inch of dirt under her fingernails. Could have been a great experience! Not that hard to wash your hands and avoid touching your face while serving customers.

Ordered a birthday cake for my husband, the lady was real helpful with getting what I needed. Everyone loved the cake and it tasted fantastic. Only problem the box was kinda flimsy holding the cake. The cake was 3 layer red velvet, 9 inch cake. But I will order again. Kinda pricey but so good.

I LOVE this bakery. Not only are the goodies delicious, the service is outstanding! Both times I have walked in hoping to get anything they had (mom fail for forgetting cupcakes for school birthday treats) they not only had enough, they were able to frost them exactly the way I had originally hoped I could get them! I had the personalized cupcakes in my hands within 20 mins! If you are looking for a sweet treat, last minute oops like me lol, or just a quick bite, definitely stop here!

Name is actually The Cake Boutique and the address is actually 2700 Richmond Road , Texarkana Tx. by Jason's Deli. They moved from the location in Arkansas Blvd a while back, but yelp and google still list that address. Good people and great cookies!
This place has one of the 2 best cakes I have ever tasted in my 43 years of life. And believe me....I know cake. ;-)

My friends wedding back in 2011, my uncle and aunts 40th anny, my bridal shower, and my uncles 70th bday. Cakes- all flavors I've had- were moist and the buttercream is so light and flavorful. The decorating is always beautiful!
