Beef tips and rice, greens, cabbage, 3 meat spaghetti, pinto beans, and hot water cornbread was delicious! Relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. Highly recommend paying this little gem a visit.

my boyfriend and I had dinner here this evening. when I say it was a good as my mom's cooking it is !! can't get any better than that.. they have a huge selection. I had blackened salmon over yellow rice.. Perfect. I also had green and peas.. perfect.. the hot water cornbread was the topping on the cake.. if you've never tired this place you have to !!!

This was some of the best soul food I have ever had! I tried the smothered chicken fried chicken and the garlic parmesan wings. I also have mac and cheese. I was concerned at first about the amount of time it was taken for the food to come out however it was worth the wait. Not only was it HOT but it was flavorful. The Kool-Aid is really good as well. They have several different flavors. The only negative is I was slightly overwhelmed by the number of options.

Oh, let me tell you this place is awesome, I had blackened catfish with etoufee,yams,mac and cheese with a sweet tea. It's as good or better than pappadeoux. Absolutely my favorite restaurant now.

The owner/chef was really nice. The food were amazing and very very delicious. We got Medium Gumbo, Crawfish Etouffee, and fried catfish. We especially like both Gumbo and Estouffee. We also ordered Rum Breaded Pudding and Lemon Filling Pound Cake. The pudding was warm, soft, and sweet. The Lemon Filling Pound Cake was soft, moist, and delicious. Would recommend and would return again!

My family and I ate here passing through on our way home to Kansas City almost a year ago. We still talk about how amazing all the food was. We will be back, it’s worth the 16 hour round trip!

I drove an hour to try this place, it was disgusting. Lambs were tough and looked as if they had been sitting in fridge for days as a matter of fact all of the food taste reheated and just was not fresh at all.. the smell from what ever seasoning being used smelled awful. The crust from the chicken was falling off.. I’m a soul food eater and I love cooking soul food but this was not it at all… the banana pudding was dark I was afraid to even try it. The koolaid was the only thing we enjoyed.. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! None of it was edible..
