Good atmosphere, enjoyed the music they were playing but disappointed in the food. Salad was just a mix with 2 cherry tomatoes added - nothing else. Chicken Parmesan seemed to be a frozen commercial breaded chicken patty with cheese and their pasta sauce on top. The sauce wasn’t bad if you like the separate flavours (tomatoes were still the the whole diced tomato chunks) - it’s not a cook-for-several-hours-to-ripen-the-flavours sauce. Husband says his chicken fettuccini Alfredo was good - had plenty of chicken in it.

Keeping the review in context, I'm basing it on the level expected in a place like this. Texarkana is rural so I'm not comparing the experience to an Italian place in Chicago or New York....but with that being said, the staff were pleasant and the food came out hot. Sauce was pretty good. I got the spinach ravioli. Rolls were very good and the tomato basil house dressing for the salad was actually surprisingly good even though I was quite skeptical. Atmosphere is fun. They have very vintage-y decor which suits the cuisine. The bar is a fun old pub looking space and I love that they kept it that way. Prices were reasonable as well. They even have some lunch specials that will get you a very filling meal for around $11.

I was shocked when I walked into this place jazz music playing and very clean. We were greeted when we walked in with a smile. The beer list needs to be upgraded to more selections. The food was awesome they really don't spare the toppings. The XL pizza is pictured below and was under 20.

Joe's Pizza and Pasta is an peaceful oasis in a desert of struggling restaurants. The atmosphere is chill with some relaxing ambiance music and the food is worth the wait of preparation and presentation. Word to the wise: cash is a better price here as there is a credit card fee but considering all of the extra expenses and costs to run a restaurant in a difficult economy, it is fair. The food and service is worth the wait and this would be a great place to splurge on a dinner or lunch out with the family

Disappointed in the pasta trio. It was about 80 percent rigatoni, 10 percent lasagna and 10 percent manacotti. Not enough sauce added. $11 is a lot to spend for mostly plain pasta.
