stopped here while driving from wisconsin to texas and had an absolutely perfect experience. the restaurant is spotlessly clean, the service is friendly and very quick, and the food was all excellent. every bite was served freshly cooked, piping hot, and expertly seasoned. even the simple vegetable sides were somehow the best i’ve ever had. the desserts were also delicious and tasted homemade. prices were very reasonable—cash preferred! worth a stop if traveling through texarkana and also worth going out of your way for simple, classic home cooking done in exactly right. really a special place.

We’re always looking for a good local restaurant as we travel and Mother Kelley’s didn’t disappoint! Everything we had was wonderful! Fried chicken, fried pork chop, hamburger steak, hot water cornbread, mashed potatoes, green beans, peas, sweet & unsweet tea, buttermilk pie, sweet potatoes pie & mystery cake. We grabbed a cream cheese cake to go. Service was top notch!The parking lot is small and gave us some concern to being able to park with our 5th wheel, but the business next to them is closed and we were able to park in their parking lot with no problem.It was definitely worth the stop and we’ll be back when in the area!

Real home cooking! Biscuits! So glad there are still non corporate restaurants. Why would someone go to Olive Garden when they could eat at Mother Kelly's???? As a vegetarian I ate the blackeyed peas. Delicious.
