only one star because it is mandatory to leave a review. terrible customer service. I made a reservation for tonight. I called at 11am to confirm that everything was okay and the person who answered the phone told me that they could not take my reservation because they estimate that the restaurant is going to have a lot of customers today and they do not have the capacity to serve the 20 people in my reservation. my question is: if they do not feel capable of serving a group of 20 people, then why did they allow me to make the reservation?? and second: are the other customers more valuable than me and my group?... so now I have to look for another place at the last minute, really terrible service. I will never go again and I will tell my terrible experience in all the places where I can.

First time there, but it was a favorite of my companion (who is a fan of the S'more martini, which I tasted and agreed it was a suitable grown-up version of that treat). I started with a Lemon Drop, which was nice but a bit sweet for me, and then really enjoyed the Chicago Ave. We split an absolutely delicious basket of truffle fries. Saw (and smelled) the neighboring table order sliders, and those also seemed appetizing. Would highly recommend and plan to return.

The service was fast and on point even though they were full inside and some outside with the patio heaters going on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend (so prime shopping and college football on the TVs lining the walls).

Also, we realized as we got back to her vehicle that my companion had probably left her phone there and went back. The manager (who actively made rounds on the floor the whole time) spotted us as we came back in, asked "Phone?", then "Hold on and I'll go get it", and went to the back for it. Was a nice flourish on being taken care of the whole time we were there.

Music from restaurant next door is too loud (sitting outside). Otherwise good atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food.

Delicious food and REASONABLY PORTIONED. A tad bit pricey, but a very clean location and would recommend you try it when you're in the area.

Went to The Woodlands location today and the waiter added his own tip percentage (highest option) to my electronic check and asked me to “sign here”. It really really rubbed me the wrong way. I’ve never been anywhere where this has happened. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager “Jason” who said this wasn’t the first time he’s had this complaint; he’s got other employees that do that as well. WHAT?? He said they don’t train them this way but this is how some of them operate. He didn’t appear to be to concerned that this is happening. The food was good but I’ll never be back… watch your servers at this place!!!

Great Food Great Vibes !

Food was great, service at the bar top, was terrible. Sat for a least 10m before being acknowledged. Ordered drinks, ordered food all at once. Asked for the check, I was splitting the check with others, bartender didn't ask but just ran my card for the whole amount on my card. Worst service ever!

I used to work here, sometimes I come to surprise old coworkers and just for the food, etc. Tonight I came cause it’s Halloween and my girls bday.
I want to start off saying I have no problem with bar louie. Great people and I enjoy coming.
Me and my group got here around 10:06pm, my server honestly sucked ass.
The problem we had with him. He never really asked if we needed anything, mainly had to flag him down just for a refill. Our drinks probably were empty maybe 10-15 minutes. Yes I will say he did good bringing alcohol, but water, etc. Yeah nah he never did anything besides once. Besides when we FIRST got there, after that nope not at all. If he did come outside it wasn’t to check on us. Even when he “checked” it was him peeking through a window half assed. I rarely did see him in the building, most likely hid in the back.
Food wise, first round of food came out pretty fast and was fresh. Second round was cold which some of us didn’t care but the people who actually do this or have done this it pissed us off. Third round actually was fresh thankfully. Everything was tasted better than the last time I was there so props for that.

Back to server, I know we ordered a lot of drinks but he never did once ask to grab anything off the table, even when we would stack it when it was empty.
I honestly don’t remember his name cause honestly idk if he even said it loud and clear. I will say he was wearing a dodgers shirt and I think a hat, idk idc.

I do appreciate how bar louie has gotten better than how it was when I did work there, I see the change and it’s great honestly. Just wanted to share my experience tonight

Bar Louie is a great place to relax and have drinks with friends. Great location in the heart of the waterway. I recommend trying it out.

Kim was our server. She was very inattentive and service was extremely slow! We waited over 30 minutes for drink refills and I had to walk to the bar because she didn't come. She looked at and passed our table several times serving other tables first and then ignoring ours. Even when she did drop off the food she flipped around too fast before I could turn around and ask for more water. I needed two refills before she returned. Then she hovered over my friend's shoulder as he paid. I got a half full container of ketchup and any refills are charged per container. She looked straight at me as I raised my hand that I needed something and turned her back on me to help another table. I highly do Not recommend this place. Service is Not a priority only money. I don't mind spending money when it is earned. They did not earn our business therefore we will not be back and will warn others to stay far away.
