Service and food presentation were ok.

Food itself was subpar at best. We had steak and chicken fajitas. Chicken was dry and overcooked. Beef was super fatty and didn’t taste that great. Served with just two small corn tortillas each. No peppers or mushroom, just a bunch of onions.
Totally overpriced too for such poor quality.

Do not recommend this locale at all. There are much better Mexican restaurants in the area.

Laughably over priced mexican food. My wife and I had 2 margaritas each. My wife had one cheese enchilada that was cold inside. The cheese was completely unmelted. I had chicken flautas which were soaked in grease. Standard rice and refried beans. 95 dollar lunch lmao Absolute insanity.

So disappointed... I am a huge fan of El Tiempo. But these were mediocre fajitas. Ordered all three types, and there was no chicken. The shrimp was cut in small pieces. The smoky flavor was not there. The red salsa needed salt. Guacamole tasted off.

I ordered my salad, which I usually get at Navigation or Vintage location, it was terrible the presentation, lettuce type, toppings taste... absolutely no comparison. Most likely will not bother at this location again. We told our waitress thanks but no thanks. Removed order from our ticket and we left, we just paid for our margarita.

Unfortunately, I won't be visiting this restaurant again. When you pay above average prices, you expect higher quality or large quantity. This place had neither. The quest was literally just melted cheese (velveeta?), no other flavors or ingredients. We ordered two different fajitas, both their smallest size. Both were very bland and small portions. The quality of food wasn't even close to matching the cost. It was really disappointing. It's hard to be disappointed with fajitas but it is possible here. It's overly obvious that the restaurant is running things as cheap as possible but charging above average prices. I can't imagine this place will last as I can't see it having many returning customers. The staff was nice although inexperienced so a few hiccups but nothing major. If prices were ~%35 less, it would be a different review and expectations would meet reality. I would still refrain from going back but it wouldn't be as disappointing when you receive low quality food.

I hate to have to post this but maybe I can save someone else from spending $300 here. I've been to several El Tiempos, all amazing food and service. This location had extremley slow service. It took over 25 minutes to get drinks, including water. The resturant was not busy and the waitor, although very nice and apologetic, dropped the ball consistenly. But the most challenging part was the food. It was really hard to believe this is an El Tiempo and I hope they get it together because it would be a nice addition if it could carry on the reputation of other locations. Until then, there are WAY too many awesome places to eat in market street to waste your time here.

Do NOT go to this location. Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I attribute this to poor management. The service was AWFUL! I do not blame the waiter, he had a large party and was truly doing his best. No management present to see what was going on. When I did bring it to the attention of the manager, he apologized and said he would take care of it. I never saw him again. We were not “taken care of”. A member of the kitchen staff delivered our food, items missing. The waiter never came back to check on us. He was cashing out individual tickets for the large party he was serving. My daughter never received her food. Our check was over $400.00. We tipped the waiter well. I was not expecting a discount or wanting anything for free. DO BETTER MANAGEMENT! I also need to add that there was maybe 10 tables occupied and most of the wait staff was on their phones hanging out. So being busy was not the issue.

I generally love El Tiempo, but this one is awful. The food was still decent but incredibly unorganized staff. We waited a very long time to be seated and then sat there for a long time without a server. We had to request chips and we ate our meal (spending around $200) without napkins and we had to request silverware multiple times from our server. Service was awful and both bathrooms had trashcans that were overflowing. Can’t believe El Tiempo is letting this location represent them.

Got there early before a concert. Still waited over half an hour to get our drinks. Then waited over an hour for food. People were so mad they were paying and leaving and not even getting their food.

The waiters are very nice, but the pricing is outrageous! They don’t have a cheaper lunch menu that I saw? My daughter ordered queso, it came in a tiny cup, the cheese wasn’t even warm, it’s bland. And it was ten freaking dollars! I got a chicken breast with fajita veggies, no tortillas, no rice or beans and I was charged 19.99 for that! My daughter’s rice and beans were not even hot! For $64 with a tip for a lunch I expect more! You would have thought I got margaritas for that price!

It's not cheap, but it is pretty good. And it's a great location if you're trying to eat before going to Cynthia Woods for a concert.

This food was horrible and over priced for sure. I'm pretty sure school or hospital food is better than this food.

So expensive! Not sure what caused the massive increase in prices but it is no longer a restaurant I would take guests.Whenever I have out-of-towners visiting, and they ask for tex-mex, I recommend El Tiempo. I explain they have some great options especially their BBQ (Parillada).Weeknight around 7pm. Walked in with a guest and there were no more than 10 people in the other restaurant (compared to previous visits where the place is beyond busy, that should have been a warning!). Got seated and checked out the menu: I was SHOCKED the 1-3 person Parillada was $145.99 Seriously? Stupid me ordered it anyway and asked for a couple of additional quails. I asked for spicier salsa (and was charged $350 for a small cup). No dessert, no drinks, just that. Out the door, with tip and tax I ended up paying $240 for 2 people.Food was as I recalled: tasty. But the price made it hard to swallow. So, next time, I'll either order off of the main menu or, better yet, go someplace else.

I love going to El tiempo but this was the first time I tried this location and I would definitely not be coming back! Although the food was great and our server was trying her best , the manager was rude towards her and the rest of employees, I felt very uncomfortable eating in that environment and you could tell my server was a little bit scared of him. Machista!!
