Love this restaurant and waiting for their new location to open. They were always fair in their portions and pricing and the quality of choices was excellent. I think the Market Street rent probably exceeded their ability to provide good food at reasonable prices. Hope they reopen somewhere else soon. I will continue to support this business.

So apparently Yelp didn't appreciate my last one star review of Jasper's, because they removed it. Well I'm back for more fun! So weeks ago I contacted Jasper's on the telephone making a birthday dinner reservation for my wife for a party of 8. Days before the birthday smash Open Table texted to confirm the reservation. What Jasper's failed to do is contact me to cancel the reservation because they owed $256,787.48 in back rent. Literally minutes before driving to the restaurant my sister in law called me saying Jasper's was locked out! Closed! It's 6pm in The Woodlands on a Friday night. My wife looking like a smoke show and I'm about to tell her we have no reservation for her birthday party. I feel for the employees of Jasper's, this isn't your fault guys. To the Owner and GM shame on you. It's disgusting you couldn't call back your reservations to cancel them. What's even more disturbing is how long were the high ups going to let this quarter of a million dollar debt go for? Tell you what Jasper's, because you'll say this is just a tiff with the landlord and shoulder shrug my reservation off! I would love a response from you and can provide my contact number when you do reach out. I'd love to get an apology from you. Thanks, Chris G

Jasper's is fantastic! Outstanding ribeye and blackened grouper is fabulous. The only thing that we didn't care for was the cornbread. If you are on a budget, find another restaurant. I don't mind paying for a good meal. However, I believe their prices are too high. Their waiters are very knowledgeable about each dish. The service was okay but not fantastic. Since it's my daughter's favorite restaurant, we will return.

Christina was beyond wonderful on all details, attention, recommendations for my daughter’s 21st birthday dinner. We will be requesting her every time. Food is excellent. We tried a verity of appetizers and entrees with sides, delicious !

Had a great night. Only rarely come to Houston. Colleagues took me to Jasper's, which I sense is a local favorite in the Woodlands. Ambiance, food, and company were all great. Stag were gracious and knowledgeable, much more engaged than usual.

I had a reservation and gad no notification that the place was closed even though I confirmed through opentable i would attend. Not sure this is on Jaspers or Opentable where the mistake is.

From Jaspers web-site: We are closed because of a tiff with our landlord and will keep you posted. Thank you for your support and understanding.

On my particular visit, the bartender was not attentive, causing me to spend more time there than I had. I had an appointment to make elsewhere. Aside from that. There aren't as many items on the menu as most places, but that's probably because Jasper's wants to ensure perfection in the signature items they do prepare. Executive Chef, Ruben Campos, recommended the salmon; however, I was feeling ribs. They were tender. The meat fell right off the bones, clearly the best ribs I've ever had. A warm potato salad came as a side. It was delicious, as well. Initially taken aback by the high prices, there was no doubt that I had my money's worth by the time I finished. The portions were enough to share and very filling. Chef Ruben is a homegrown wonder. In middle school, he came from a family of modest means. A family of four, they first occupied a small apartment, in a small town west of Katy. I, too, had lived in these apartments with a family of four, six years earlier. The apartments are still there, unchanged. Ruben was a good student and generally athletic; however, his voice didn't break until 8th grade and he had to compete with boys on the football team that had already been held back a few grades. Ruben was ambitious, however. By '84, his family relocated to Katy where in high school, Ruben hit a growth spurt, lettered in varsity sports and his long-steady girlfriend was among the most attractive girls in Katy High School. As a senior, this culinary extraordinaire-to-be got a job washing dishes at Carrabba's. He quickly rose to manager. Some point after, he mastered cooking, served as executive chef and managing partner at various fine dining restaurants, eventually finding himself managing Jasper's, a must-try restaurant, only a 5 min. walk from the Woodlands Pavilion.

What a delightful birthday outing for my 82 year old Mom's birthday. We were greeted by happy hostesses who were willing to accommodate our party of nine then reduced to four due to part of our group needing to leave. We started with the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts. She had the Caesar salad while my daughter and I shared the omelet. All was delicious. Our server was attentive and made suggestions when asked. Absolutely wonderful!

You're definitely paying for the environment here. Service was great, the calamari appetizer was really good. But the main course was not terrible, but was expecting a little bit more flavor. I had the rotisserie chicken served with rice and black beans. Now the chicken was pretty good. But the rice and black beans were lacking a lot of flavor. Definitely bland. My guest had the salmon on a bed of pesto pasta. They too said it was very bland. Just expecting a little bit more quality since y'all are charging a pretty penny. If you can cook, this place is not where you want to eat. I'll give this place 4 stars because I really wanted to give a 3.5 rating. Only because the staff was great, the environment was really nice, the calamari was great and they were good at keeping the Miller lite cold.

Overall we had a very good experience at Jasper's. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. I think I have finally found a good Mojito. The garlic mash potatoes are probably the best I've ever tasted. I had the crab cakes and found them to be well seasoned. I was not that impressed with the apple, walnut and cranberry salad. There was an over abundance of greens and the other ingredients got lost in the bottom.

Me and my wife went for our Anniversary, the restaurant itself was very nice, in a great area. Our server was very nice, the food was quick to come. I ordered the filet cooked Medium, my wife ordered the shrimp and scallops. My wife had 0 complaints, thought it was very good, and for $42, you get a good sized meal. My steak however was disappointing, they cooked it more rare than medium. The flavor was okay, the mashed potatoes were amazing. We ended with the peanut butter crème brûlée which was amazing and only $6! I would give this place another try, however was disappointed with how my steak turned out and will not order it any time soon. Overall, the experience and service was nice. Food was a tad underwhelming.

Food was very good to great. We had the shrimp and scallops, the salmon and the prime rib--all excellent. Jambalaya risotto and Brussels sprouts are wonderful. So is the fruit cobbler. Matthew was an outstanding server--very attentive, and took care of our every need.
