I went to have a dining experience after a tough day of work.
I got the Roman Holiday drink - 10/10 for alcohol content, 6/10 for sweetness. If you like mildly sweet drinks, this is for you!
The Italian Meatballs - 10/10, you can do without the polenta.
White Truffle Garlic Bread - 8/10, it's a soft inside and crunchy outside bread. I removed the ricotta, not a fan. But good with the meatballs.
The Chicken Parm - 9/10, perfectly fried and tender, would like a little more sauce.
Creamy Pasta - 0/10, sub it with something else or change out the sauce. It tasted like nothing.
Great service and delicious meal, will go again. I sat at the bar this time.

We celebrated my in-laws' birthdays at North Italia in The Woodlands yesterday and were disappointed by the level of service we received.
The experience started off on the wrong foot. We had barely sat down (less than 15 seconds) when our server began asking for food orders before everyone had even received a menu. I politely asked for a few minutes so our party could look through the menu, but the request seemed to be met with visible frustration. From that point forward, it felt as though our table received very little attention for the remainder of the afternoon.
Our party consisted of 9 people, and while we understand large parties can be more demanding, the service fell well below what we've come to expect from this restaurant. Throughout the entire meal, empty glasses remained on the table and were never cleared. We repeatedly had to flag down our server whenever we needed drink refills, utensils, or other assistance because she did not check on our table.
What made the experience more disappointing is that we are regular customers and have generally enjoyed dining here in the past. This visit felt very different. It almost seemed as though, because the automatic gratuity was already included for our party size, there was less incentive to provide attentive service.
The food was good, but the service took away from what should have been a special birthday celebration for our family.

I had high hopes for our first visit to this upscale Italian restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. My spouse’s pasta arrived cold and undercooked, and I had to remind the server twice about my ranch for my pizza and my drink. When I asked about a frozen margarita, the response felt somewhat dismissive, as the server chuckled and stated, “We don’t serve frozen drinks here.”
we chose not to bring up the pasta issue because another guest in our party had already experienced a long wait — about 7 to 10 minutes — just for a salad remake, and we did not want to wait even longer for another dish to be corrected.
Additionally, the portion sizes did not seem to match the prices being charged, and several guests in our party experienced issues with their meals as well.
The server also asked if we were celebrating anything special, and we shared that it was a birthday dinner. He informed us that we could choose anything from a specific list and that it would be complimentary. However, when the bill arrived, we noticed the item had still been charged. After bringing it to his attention, he responded, “Oh my goodness, I thought my manager took that off.”
Although the birthday charge was eventually corrected,
While some concerns were addressed, the overall lack of follow-up, attention to detail, and value left us disappointed.
Unfortunately, this first experience was not what we had hoped for.

We had reservations for 7 people. When we arrived, they said we made it for six and there would be a wait of about 5 minutes to prepare a table. 20 minutes later, they added a chair to a booth in the back of the restaurant and seated us. Our waitress was great, but when our food arrived it was doused in olive oil and garlic. Our overall experience was a 4 just because our waitress was very pleasant. Not a big fan of the food.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant regularly for almost two years, which is why these last two experiences have been so disappointing.
Two weeks ago, I came in during my lunch break with my daughter and specifically let the server know we only had an hour and needed the food out as soon as possible. We then sat there for almost 45 minutes with absolutely no communication. Our server never came to update us himself — he sent someone else over to explain that he had mistakenly told the kitchen to wait 45 minutes before serving our food. Only once the food was finally ready did he come over personally, and the manager later offered something free from the menu because of the situation. I declined because at that point I just wanted to eat, pay for our meal, and leave.
Then during my most recent visit, I let the server know I didn’t have my card on me and was told they no longer accept Apple Pay. Despite that, he still allowed me to complete the payment using Apple Pay, but the interaction became uncomfortable because he repeatedly mentioned “fraud,” how he could “get in trouble,” and other internal issues that honestly had nothing to do with me as a paying customer trying to enjoy a meal.
I understand businesses have policies, but customer service and communication matter too. After being a loyal customer for almost two years, these last two experiences were disappointing and honestly made me feel unwelcome. Management should really consider additional customer service training on how to properly communicate with guests in uncomfortable situations.

I usually enjoy coming to North Italia, but this visit was really disappointing. We waited over 20 minutes and were never properly attended to or checked on. The restaurant didn’t seem overly busy, so the lack of service was frustrating. Hoping this was just an off night because my past experiences here have been much better. Maybe next time I’ll try out their other locations.

The service is great. However, I was seeking a quiet place to quietly converse and it is not this place. Its more like sports bar. Noisy tvs, the noisier the tvs the louder people tend to speak, maintenance was being done on the coffee milk frother. It ran for no less than 5 minutes and sounded like a tire shop! And of course, too pricey. Not a place that I will return to.
