Update: Though we really enjoy the food here the seating is terrible. No booths only a couple of community type half booths where you have to set 1 ft away from another group. The rest of the seating is cheap tables with patio chairs with tie on cusion that slide around. The tables are all crammed together like a cafeteria also.

Great gluten-free options. Staff is knowledgeable and food is quite good.

Food was fantastic, and so was the wine. Just our server wasn’t that attentive. For such a nice place they should invest in some better seating.

Great looking spot, but the food did not reflect the atmosphere or the great service. The lasagna was too salty, and the eggplant Parmesan was tough to eat. Recommend for quick bites. Might be a great place as indicated by the reviews, but I did not have a great experience.

I took my wife out for dinner and everything was pretty average. The host and hostess were great, acknowledging us right away, very friendly and welcoming both as we arrived and as we left. My did say she would return for the bruschetta board which she loved.

The food is good but some family favorites are not served that are traditional for most Italian eateries. The wine is good but don't set your heart on cannoli, espresso , or Limoncello as they aren't on the menu. The chairs I found to be too firm and devoid of comfort. All the surfaces are clean and modern without tablecloths. The booths were comfortable.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is access but the incline is steep where we entered.

Amazing food, great service, but I wish they'd have some music in the venue.
The dining room itself feels a bit cold (with the cold light and the sparse decor), but it could be much better with music. Without it, it sounds like a hall and you can hear everyone's conversation.
The service and food are excellent though.

Excellent appetizers and entrees, excellent service from the waitstaff, excellent wine, and most importantly a personable chef who is exceptionally skilled and creative make for a delightful dining experience. This restaurant is one of the very best in the woodlands and deserves far more attention. Every time we go, we wonder why we’re not there more often.

Menu was more limited and more expensive than their Heights location, but the food and service were very good. The ambience was a little cold but that's being overly critical. Wine selection and pricing was excellent but no full service bar.

Fantastic dining experience!! Food is delicious! They also have wonderful fried chickpeas as a table snack. So yummy!! Our server was on top of it. Never had to wait for a refill. We parked in the garage and walked to a concert at the Pavilion after dinner. Worked perfectly.

Had a great Saturday date night at PortaVino. We both ordered from the HRW menu, and all of our selections were very good to excellent. Standouts were the perfectly cooked mussels, wonderfully charred glazed brussels sprouts, the sea bass over vegetables, and the sweet coconut cream pie. Our waiter Tyler was professional and engaging. The combination of menu variety, consistent food preparation, interesting wine offerings, and friendly service will keep bringing us back.

Great food, service, atmosphere, & location. I was impressed with their ability to accommodate a gluten-free diet as well. I highly recommend this place!

Dietary restrictions: They did great accommodating a gluten-free diet and have gluten-free options for most meals. The server was knowledgeable and even came back warning that an unexpected item had gluten in it.
