Simonia’s Bistro in The Woodlands is such a beautiful, cozy spot, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. The space feels warm and thoughtfully designed, with a calm atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your meal.
What makes it even better is learning that the restaurant comes from Mexico City and features authentic family recipes. You can truly taste the care and tradition in every dish. The flavors are rich and well-balanced and the portions are absolutely perfect — filling without being heavy.
The chilaquiles were especially delicious, full of depth and freshness and the coffee paired perfectly with everything. It’s comforting, elevated and clearly made with love.
Seating is limited. Inside has more 2 seater tables, with the max of 4. More seating is outside on the patio.

Five star review for Simona’s Bistro! We had eggs, avocado toast and chilaquiles. The espresso martini and coffee were also very good. We will definitely comeback!!

The owner is horrible. Middle age to older lady with bitter attitude.
We went to eat there about 2 weeks ago. The server (possibly the owners daughter) sat us outside near the door. It was a small table but enough for my wife, daughter, and me. We were there for about 15 minutes, placed our order and had our drinks enjoying conversation.
A larger party (13 I believe) arrived. The manager asked us if we would move to accommodate the larger party and she would move us to a smaller table. The party said no worries we'll come back another time to try the place out before I said anything. I couldn't imaging being placed at a smaller table as our table was already small. I informed the manager we were good where we were at. The larger party left. The manager gave me a dirty look and whispered as we passed by THANK FOR LOSING ME A LARGE PARTY and walked inside. As if our business wasn't good enough. My wife was shocked and asked me what she said (to confirm what he heard). After stating what she said, my wife said we were leaving. I entered the business to tell the server we were leaving because of the rude customer service. The server was shocked and asked what happened. I told her and she apologized repeatedly and aid I don't know why she said that. She said well at least let me give you the food since it was being cooked. I said no need, I see were not welcome. The owner was standing there while I said this and she said...THANKS FOR LOSING ME TWO TABLES NOW. As not seeing us as people but money lost. The owner followed us outside and continued to harass us. I finally had enough and told her what she was doing was unacceptable and it was poor business practices. She made my 7 year old cry during the process. I told her look what she's doing right now and she tried to blameshift her actions.
I will never go back. With management like this she won't last long.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

This is a lovely little restaurant. I almost don't want to leave a review and keep them a secret for myself. We sent for brunch and everything we ordered was phenomenal.

The food is always delicious and works for every palate, but if you want a real Mexican flavor experience, order chilaquiles or enchiladas! The best in The Woodlands!

Simona’s Bistro is truly a hidden gem in The Woodlands. The moment you walk in, the bright and cozy atmosphere makes you feel welcome, with a charming international touch that sets it apart.
The French Toast was the absolute highlight of my visit — perfectly fluffy, with just the right sweetness and texture, paired with fresh fruit that made every bite unforgettable. Honestly, one of the best French toasts I’ve ever had, a must-try on their menu!
To pair it, I ordered a Hugo Spritz — light, refreshing, and elegant, with that subtle floral hint from St-Germain. It’s the perfect brunch cocktail, and when combined with the French Toast, it creates a flawless match that elevates the whole experience.
Service was impeccable, attentive, and friendly, and the ambiance works perfectly for a brunch with friends or a special breakfast for two.

The empanadas were phenomenal, and my chilaquiles were pretty good, albeit with less salsa and frijoles than I would’ve hoped.

I absolutely loved my visit here. The migas and the avocado toast are both excellent, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and the portions are generous without being too much. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a warm vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy every moment.
The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Service is quick, but you never feel rushed, and it’s clear they take pride in giving every guest a great experience.
It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch, a casual coffee break, or catching up with friends over good food and conversation. The space is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, which adds to the charm and makes you want to come back again and again.
If you’re looking for a place that serves consistently delicious food with great service, I highly recommend stopping by and trying the migas and the avocado toast. You won’t be disappointed, and you’ll probably find yourself planning your next visit before you even leave.
