Woodson's Local Tap + Kitchen (1488)

First off I have to say this is one of mine and my husband's favorite places to go! We love the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the service!! The servers there are so friendly and thoughtful, all of them have been great. One of the girls there we get all the time and she is spectacular, she is so on top of everything, she always knows right when to bring us our drinks (we frequent this place for afternoon/ early evening drinks often), she's so friendly and fast, very attentive, she is just so great (hope she forgives me as her name escapes me at the moment, will see if I can edit and add it later as I do want to give her the credit she deserves!). The food is fabulous, there hasn't been one dish that I've ordered that I personally haven't enjoyed. My personal favs are the Woodson's Cajun pasta, and the summer Salad!!! Mmmm just so amazing!!! They have great drinks as well. One of my favs right now, it's a newer drink, is the great n summer. It is so good, pretty dangerous cuz they're so refreshing so if you're sitting on their lovely patio (which is what we do) on a hot day which is everyday lol, you may end up having one to many rather quickly and find yourself a little too refreshed lol!! As mentioned the patio is very nice imo, it's pet friendly, and there are shades they can bring down if the sun is blaring in and you need some shade, has good air flow I feel, with ceiling fans. It's all very clean, haven't ever seen a dirty table, they seem very prompt in cleaning up. I haven't really been there at a rush hr except for one time, but again everything was very clean. Haven't eaten inside yet, but from walking thru it looks very clean, and they even have some games inside (haven't played them, but I've seen others and they look fun!). Full bar, the bar is amazing imo! Bartenders all seem very good at their jobs and again haven't had a drink I don't like so that's a good sign lol! Everytime I've been there (and we go a lot), the bathrooms are always clean too! Trying to touch on all points for anyone looking at trying this place out. And just to be clear I'm reviewing the woodson's on 1488 and carriage hills. It's just a great bar and restaurant!! ❤️ Highly recommend!!

Just adding to this, with the price point I put I did it per person with the thought of meal and drink(s), so that being said, it's not a super pricey establishment, its very comparable to your average bar and grille type place.

I love Woodson’s so much. The environment is always so friendly and welcoming. I have been taken care of by Halle, Evelyn, and Reese and they were all amazing and had so many good suggestions. They offer a solid beer selection, including local brews, and the whole staff is always friendly. The burgers are juicy, and the loaded fries are a must-try. With up beat music and trivia nights, it’s perfect for a relaxed night out. Definitely a go-to for good drinks and tasty food!

We recently hosted an event at Woodson’s, and I can’t say enough about the experience. The staff and managers went above and beyond, making sure everything was organized smoothly from start to finish. The friendly service made our event stress-free and enjoyable. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but what really stood out was the team’s effort to ensure everything ran perfectly. Highly recommend Woodson’s for any gathering or special occasion!

I go here several times a year with a group of women. We have the best time and food is always just as ordered. We had a indoor beach party . They let us come early to decorate the table that way.

Super good food for a bar especially and good for the vibe me and my friend wanted. Good service we had a waitress named Evelyn who was very generous and helpful definitely one of if not the best sever we’ve encountered in the area as well as at this restaurant but all around a very good waitress and we were very thankful. Highly recommended!!!

Had a great time here with my buddy the food was good and the service was excellent. Waitress kept up drinks and always made sure we were good and we were very appreciative. Good service is the hardest thing after good food and they provided both. The waitresses name was Evelyn and she was definitely one of the best I’ve seen in a bar atmosphere especially at the time we went. Very awesome!!!!

Food was above average bar food, family friendly for crawfish season. We had the sweetest waitress, Molly. Whole family was happy!

Have been multiple times and always have a great time. My family and I love the server Halle! Definitely coming back!

Molly was a great server and would totally recommend her. She isn’t the best looking but her service definitely makes up for her looks. She gives great recommendations on the food which are definitely reliable based on her weight. Regardless of her weight she moves fast and always had our food and drinks on time. 10/10 recommended, great job Molly!

Place isn’t bad. People are nice and the vibe is cool. Just know that the ravioli with bolognese is just cheese ravioli with what seems to be a can of wolf chili dumped on it. lol shrimp tacos is good though. Crawfish was flavorful.

Food was good, but the service was even better. Me and my friends came in looking to try something new, and made a friend along the way. If you go to this location, ask for Gabby G!! She was amazing and is also single
