Country Cafe is a family owned restaurant. We stopped by to have some coffee, and we met many people from the town where everyone was so friendly. They have so many hunted animal trophy heads, and the restaurant owner was kind enough to spend time and talk about the story behind each trophy. We really enjoyed stopping by at this place for a coffee.
Chicken fried steak, hot open face sandwiches, roast beef, chicken, biscuits and gravy—everything cooked from scratch, fresh and delicious. DO NOT expect a fancy place (there isn’t even a sign). But the service is great—remember it takes a little time to cook from scratch. Nothing is frozen or out of a box. Family owned, mom and 10 kids. RV park next door in case you want to spend the night.
Great food and the service was excellent. We had the burger basket and it was delicious. It's a small town with very few options. This was a great find. I'll return to try the buffet. Some signage would increase business.
